In the heart of Zagreb's favourite refuge for hikers, mountain bikers and other nature lovers, we planted this cache to open up another aspect of visiting Medvednica. Only now we are aware that the cache is quite near some roads, but heck - you can't really get far enough from any road or trail on Medvednica.

One way to get to the cache, is simply to follow the marked trail #1 that starts behind the restaurant 'Sestinski Lagvic'. After 45' you'll reach another resting spot called 'Kraljicin Zdenac', and follow the trail further up, towards the hotel 'Tomislavov dom' just below the top of the mountain. The cache spot is some 50m uphill off the trail,
in a somewhat lighter part of the wood, in the foot of a big old stump, covered with some leaves mixed with soil and a few dry sticks. It's a common blue-top freeze box.

No special views or anything at the spot, but the visit to Medvednica is rewarding by itself. On a work day, you might encounter some roes too. Go on to the peak of the mountain, and consider a hike to visit some other nice lodgings - 'Puntijarka' and 'Hunjka' to the East, and 'Graficar' and 'Risnjak' to the West.

Medvednica is covered with trails - marked and unmarked, so if you get a good map, it is a hiker's paradise. The spot should be accessible by mountain bike too, we didn't have the chance to try it, but surely NOT by the trail mentioned above. The encrypted hint can be helpful.
