This is a great little spot on public trails within Glen Falls. You can often see hikers, bikers, and dog walkers throughout these trails, so be cautious when you do find the cache. This area could also use a lot of “Cache in, Trash Out”, as it is somewhat messy. There is lots of Styrofoam lying about, and it looks like some people took it upon themselves to get rid of their garbage here. Without the trash these trails could shine!


Also, to the other side of the parking area is a beautiful small park with a very nice waterfall and landscaping. It’s very clean and pleasurable, there are ducks to watch, birds to hear, and people to see. Take a stroll over and relax.


The cache itself is a very small Rubbermaid type container, about 1 ½ cups. Bring something very small to put in the cache: maybe just a wheresgeorge dollar or a small stone? Just think small and all will be well. The cache is very close to many trails, so no bushwhacking should be necessary. One more thing, BRING A PEN! The cache is so small we couldn’t fit any practical writing utensils in it without taking up the whole cache. Remember to hide the cache as well as you found it. Happy caching!

A lucky find! Snow caching is hard...it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack with a blanket over top the pile.

But, luckily...we were successful! To celebrate I dropped off the Goof Ball TB.

This was my second find of the day... and I wasn't even out here for this cache! I originally was in the area for the Amherst State Park Cache, when I noticed on my GPS how close this one was. I am very proud of myself - this is the first cache I found without having the website printout (and hints!) with me... my first 'blind' find!

Talked to a guy walking his dog about geocaching. He said that he once found a "loose" cache in Ellicott Creek Park and after reading the instructions inside the container, returned it back to where it belonged... what a nice guy!

Took some trash out with me.

Pretty wet and swampy around here after the rains this weekend. TONS of places to hide a cache around this area. Found it pretty easily, and TNLNSL.

A tough find in the snow. There were fresh tracks a day or two old near the cache but no recent log entries. 2nd of four finds today on the banks of Ellicott Creek. Took elephant anf Keys to the Shitty TB. How could we resist. Left a million bucks and a pair of dice. Hiked in from Amherst State Park using the foot bridge over the creek? The log book was a little damp so we placed it into a new ziplock.

loggin late... found this one last sept with the bumble, strangelittle girl, and poobaa! (After 10 minutes of walking in circles, poobaa got frustrated and sat down right ABOVE the cache!!!) lol~ even in sept the mosquitoes were at fullforce (m203 grenade launcher with deet recommended) but it was also very wet at the time with the rains and flooding from the hurricanes down south..the place was a mess, we did some CITO, (we left the sock in the tree just in case it's owner turned up) then headed up to Wendy's for a frosty well earned!

Our second cache of the day, and our dog is loving the adventure and the water! Simple trail walk. With the summer foliage slightly effecting the accuracy, it took us a little longer to determine which area based on the clue. Excellent Hide. Took polished NJ quartz and left behind 300 million year old fossil with source site brochure.

After printing this out on 12/14/01, I finally got to log the find. Sunset and I have twice attempted this one in the past. The bugs were just too much for her on both attempts. 1st stop of the day w/ Sue(Lyndon Rd gang) while heading to Ontario, Canada. Very rainy out this morning and we didn't pack ponchos on our overnight trip , but that didn't stop us (and we saw a couple walking ahead of us too!). Found cache at 9:35AM. Pretty walk along the stream. Logged in, took nothing. Now on to Canada!

3/16/02 - Last and fifth cache found today (after dark) with Mr Mom. Haven't seen this section of the park since my High School days. Found it around 9:40pm. The air was cold, the creek was running high and fast, and the river rats were very noisy tonight.

This is much more enjoyable when the weather is in the 70's and 80's. On top of a blinding
snowstorm, I forgot my boots and almost went skiing down the first hill I came to.
Chickenlips and Gobstopper had a good laugh when that happened!! The GPS was not
cooperative at all with the snow coming down the way it was but we managed on several
occasions to come reasonably close to where the cache was hidden. The couple inches of
snow on top of everything was also a hindrance. In desperation, we looked for almost 30
minutes before finding the cache. And that my friends, was purely by accident. We couldn't
see any bark exposed to even slightly point us in the right direction. I started scraping snow
off some of the trees and when I heard the hollow sound, I knew we had it. We tried to sign
the tiny little log but with the snow flying as it was, we were only able to put our names in it.
We took nothing but did leave a tube of 0.5mm mechanical pencil lead. As far as
garbage.......we didn't see a thing!! The last picture posted here may be too much of a clue, so
try to avoid looking at it until you find the cache on your own........Cm'on be a sport!! Ohhh
yeah, we had a doe run up to us while we were walking around in circles. Thanks for an
enjoyable day in the country within the city.

Hey! Decided to take the family out right after church. so glad to find caches near our home!!
Walk in was a bit smooshy and I made a game out of picking up trash with the kids. Wondering if high water hits will cache still be their...at least it will remain air tight and float :D Cache was a bit hard to find because of area and size. But it was in great shape. Signed the book and took rock, tatoo and barette. Left a pathfinder pin, christmas pin and a Chums patch.
