Virtual cache in the Staunton River Battleground Park.
Staunton River Battlefield State Park 1035 Fort Hill Trail Randolph, VA 23962 (434) 454-4312 Here is another bridge virtual, in a wonderful park; with a great story. Please visit the web link for full details of this historic civil war area. I do not think I could do it justice typing here. I will list the following info in case one wishes not to view any spoilers, etc at the website. Clover Center at Fort Hill will be open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Sunday from 1:00 to 4:30 PM. Roanoke Station Visitor Center will be open Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Sundays from 1:00 to 4:30 PM. Special tours can be arranged by calling the park at 434-454-4312. The battlefield and self-guided trails are open daily from 8:00 AM to Dusk. In my opinion this park and its events are somewhat unknown, and hidden away. Although they do have new signs out on major highways now. Depending on which way you travel to the park, you may cross a cool bridge. Please post a picture if you can, better yet I welcome any emails of pictures etc anywhere around. One can get a very good workout, as well as take in a beautiful area by walking the whole park.
