Winston Woods offers a maze of trails thru a nice forest. The cache is located less than 20 feet off an established trail, but the terrain near the cache site might be a little difficult, depending on which way you approach it.

The cache is a 2.8L camo-painted Rubbermaid container. There is a small keychain digital camera (with software & cable) as a FTF prize, and a dog toy for the first canine to find it.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ENTER THE PARK FROM THE WEST...that would be trespassing. Parking is available on Winston Drive.

I really enjoyed this park today, and I think this was the 4th cache for me here. Strangely, I had no problems making the find despite the recent snow fall. Extracting the container from its snowy cocoon was fun, and I ended up TNLNSL.
The view of the Ditka Dome from GZ is very cool. It was cool to see how the snow piles on it and slides down in different areas. I'm not even sure what they do in there, and come to think of it, I don't think I've ever been inside one of those domes. Maybe I'll check it out sometime.

Thanks for bringing me deep into the woods today, and TFTC!!!

Catching up on my cross logging to clear my 'not found' Navicache list.

Found at 12:25 pm.

Ahhh, Stunod's. :)

More lunchtime twofers. I did park at the church and walked a little ways looking for a path leading in and failing that I just dove in.

GPSr was a little goofy for some reason and I was led across the creek. No problem as it was frozen solid. Once back on the correct side of the creek I was able to zero in fairly easily.

At ground zero the search was short and sweet (I thought it was supposed to be warmer today?), signed log, grabbed the TB and left a '9/11 Fire Fighters with Flag' keychain.

Found the 'real' geocachers trail on the way out and was on to the next.

Thanks for the walk in the nice area and for the cache.

Found this one with my dog in the rain. Great little park for a wet walk as the canopy is full and acted like an umbrella. Had to scramble up at the end but not problem. Took TB (Buzz) and dog toy; left key chain. TFTC
