Cranbourne is the area of Windsor Great Park
south of Windsor Castle and north of Ascot
Horse Race Course. The cache is a big tupperware
box with instant camera, for you to take a picture
of yourself, tins of soft drink and lots of toys.
The cache is hidden near the base of an ancient
blasted oak. It is only a short distance from
free parking near Cranbourne gate.

This has been on my to do list for some time, and so with no livestock in the field, I gave it a go.
Thought the ground would have dried out by now, but was very wrong. Quite a lot of liquid mud about on the way to the cache as well as some ancient pollards.
A quick find (it is an ammo case after all!!)

Retrospectively writing a log on 25/11/2008, for a visit during February. I've only just started really looking at Navicache, and this one looked familiar. I did it as a GS cache on the logged date, and remember it well - I plugged my way through an endless field of sticky mud wearing my trainers, and the next day I went to Snow and Rock and bought myself some proper walking boots :-)

Not sure of the etiquette for logging on both sites - I've done it as a find, but if that's bad form, I'll happily change it to a comment.

The cache was a nice easy find, not that anyone should need a clue looking for a LARGE ammo box. Took Glaurung dragon, left dinosaur finger puppet. Signed log.

Returned to car park to find police showing a great deal of interest in my vehicle, a 4x4 with a 20L jerry can in the back!! All I can say is just as well that the delivery of new ammo boxes I received last week is at home, not in the car, otherwise it might have been spoiled by a "controlled explosion", 2 years before the HP is paid off!!

What an eventful lunch break! TFTC, Sandvika.

My first find, easy to spot.
Box was very damp, hardly surprising with all the rain.

Hello People,

Lovely Sunday morning, dropped son off to work at Legoland at 8:30 and was at the cache by 8:50.

So that's what a blasted oak looks like, no sign of Herne the Hunter or Falstaff though.

Took a photie and a Baa Lamb and left a pink rubber thingy (that's for erasing things mind).

Covered cache up well (I hope)

Nice one DodgydaveD

PS I know today is July 15th but I only logged the visit on geocache.com and forgot this site, sorry<GGGG>

13:30 I work in Binfield so I popped out at lunch to get this. Got to the cache and found it very easily. That tree does not look too healthy. Put in a Michael Schumaker F1 car collector model from a few years ago. Took out a can of Pepsi Max.

Some interesting comments in the log.

Great. Now I can log two caches from a single visit!
