On 7/24/01, I had printed out the details for the other caching site's "MacIntyre Bluff/Sterling Nature". I didn't get around to it until 11/12/01 & using the Sterling Nature approach, the cache was nowhere to be found. I called a friend on my cell & had her re-check the posting: "The cache no longer exists, whether by act of nature or other circumstance." Lesson: keep your research current!

I decided to hide a NaviCache in its place. After hiking back to the Nature Center, I drove a bit & found the road directly to this beautiful, rock strewn beach below a steep/dangerous cliff. I had a small, plastic-ware container ready in my trunk:

log book with 2 WheresGeorge.com bills for free tracking:
B18828909N
B18828910N
trash bags (or bring one, this is a party spot)
and for emergencies: GPSr AA batteries & a mini flashlight.

Sweet & simple: a tiny NaviCache, great for NaviGeorgeing! Please post below your experience & what you exchanged in the NaviCache. Thanks.

I will bet you dollars to donuts this cache is history. I had just done the two caches to the east and thought I'd try this one, after all it was still early 7:15pm and I had plenty of flashlight battery left. Nice road right down to the shore so I only had to open the car door to look. Wow was the wind howlin I guess 30+ mph and huge waves in the light beam. Looks like there has been some earth moving work done and there was maybe 20 ft of dry beach not many places to hide the cache. If someone finds it let me know.

STUMPED:

Looks like this 1 /1 rated cache got the best of me after 1.25 hours of looking around. I brought two GPSR's to make sure my reading was accurate but still nothing. I broke out the decrypted clue on scene and thought I was where I should have been but still nothing.
Beautiful area none the less and I enjoyed driving around the back roads to see what else was near by. Trails at the nature center go a long ways and cover some very scenic spots that a camera comes in handy.
It was around 1:30 when I was here and I felt like I was the only person on the planet because not once did I see or hear anyone else the whole day.
Beach was great! and I ended up taking a few very neat looking rocks back home for a future cache.
I came in the long way by using the nature trail on the other side, after I left I decided to drive around where you had parked when placing this, I looked one more time but still nodda.
No regrets! A great time had by me still.
i have included some pix with this of the area near by, no give-aways and if they are I have no clue as to why! LOL.
