The cache is located in an undeveloped park with a few groomed trails running thru it. Total walking distance is less than 1/2 mile round trip, and all but the last 50-100 feet or so are on established trails. There is a stream to cross, but it is usually dry.

The cache is a camo painted 1 gal Rubbermaid container stocked with the usual cache goodies. I've included a cache camera, so please take a picture during your visit.

This was one of those caches where we had to make a decision whether or not to go for it. The sign near parking informed us that the park closed at dusk, and we pulled in at the latter side of dusk. We decided to go for it and dove into the woods which were even darker than we expected. Somehow we followed the trail, and even crossed the dry creek bed in the dark. We continued following the trail, and it was so dark, I was thinking that there is no way we are finding this cache tonight. Just as I got done with that thought, bgreep1 shouted "got it!". Sweet! I still can't believe it. We TNLNSL and moved along. Thanks for bringing us out to this very cool preserve and TFTC!!!

Catching up on my cross logging to clear my 'not found' Navicache list.

Found at 12:20 pm

Temp 27F, wind gusts 30, wind chill 13F

Brrrr.

At least I had great parking! :)

Prepared for the weather I set off for my daily lunch twofer and Stunod was my target again today and sincer this one was just down the road from his nearby 'Winston Woods' made this an easy choice.

Bundled up before leaving the car and set off and before too long I was in the thick of the woods. Soon on the main trail I spotted several sets of footsteps in the snow.

Got to ground zero and looked around for about 2 minutes and expanded my search zone. Quickly spotted a likely hidey and was rewarded and soon the owners of the footprints became clear. It was from the Auntie Nae team from the Milwaukee area. (Hi girls!).

Signed in, took nothing and left a '9/11 Fire Fighters with Flag' keychain.

Nice park with beautiful woodchip trails. Enjoyed the walk. What about the duct-taped bridge? Was a little worried about walking across that! Left a hot wheels car and took the calculator. Thanks for bringing us to such a nice place. Lindave

After a few wrong turns I was finally on the right track to this well hidden park. Made it to the cache location no problem a found cache in no time. I was a little worried about being spotted by homeowners very close by. I saw there was a Travel Bug in this cache, so I took it for a ride. I ran out of time and had to make this the last for the day. Will have to come back soon and get the other stunod caches in the area, TFTC!

3 of 4 for the day.

We really enjoyed this cache. We knew where to go, but did not know how to get there (if that makes sense). Nice hide.

My daughter, Amanda, and dog were on this one with me. Had come here on Friday in the rain but the stream was running too high so came back today. Stream still had running water but jumped from stone to stone and crossed it easily. Found the cache with little trouble. Took Beach Ball (that is Amanda with the ball in the picture we took) and Gator TB left pokemon keychain and MewToo travel bug. TFTC

Oh yes, I've got a bad cold and it had me blue today but you can't keep me from getting out for at least one on a beautiful day like today. I followed the arrow to a parking lot only .14 from the cache but I switched on the map view and saw that I could get closer. The way I went you don't CROSS the dry creek bed. Did a little trash out on the way back to the car, thanks for the fun cache.

Woo Hoo! My first FTF. Saw this one pop up yesterday so I decided to hit it on my way into work.

I figured I would get there and see a whole group of the normal FTF early morning cachers. Nope, just me.

Took one of your infamous flashlight biners. Left a bottle coozie.
