Was at another Buffalo Bill's loss (to Seattle), but made the best of it by hiding a cache while tailgating.

There have been postings lately about the declining quality of cache items. I'm trying to start this one with better stuff & trust that finders will post here what they've equally swapped. The tupperware container initially contains:
56K PCI modem (brand new, boxed with software drivers)
12-in-1 multi tool (Leatherman wannabe)
WheresGeorge.com bills for free tracking
trashbags (or bring one to help "trash out" this messy area)
and for emergencies: AA GPSr batteries & a flashlight

There's also a "hitchiker", Ms. M&M Imposter, who should only be taken if you're going to move her on to another cache. Her travels should be posted at "Navicache hitch hiker forum " I hope she continues West, she's seen enough of Rochester, NY.

  • Caution with children
On gameday, nearby areas are used by some to "relieve" themselves. You may also smell the sweet aroma of those getting into their gamehead ;^)

2nd failed attempt at this one. I'm really going to have to lean towards this Navicache being missing. Much better GPS coverage on this visit with much of the tree cover gone, continually pointing me towards one location; but no cache to be found.

Couldn't find this sucker. GPSr was jumping all around; there was an area that met the description sort of described by the last cacher, but it was too heavily choked with weeds to find a cache in there. I notice NO ONE has ever found this cache in the summer months, so I'll likely come back when the weeds have died off. The cache site is acessable year round, no need for a game to be going on. Despite the proximity to Navicache world HQ, you can count on one hand the number of people who actively log on Navicache in the area, so that would explain only 5 finds in over 2 years.

Well, well, well...Justin Rathman, a St. Lawrence University student, Cacher & Georger from the past. Welcome back! Justin (and Team Slacker) took that CD from another one of my NaviCaches over 2 years ago. It sounds like this Buffalo NaviCache has been vandalized with nobody attesting to taking the modem or multi-tool. I'm not surprised: this is a "relief" area for drunks during Bill's football games. Rusty fence is the least of contaminents. I only saw the plastic container during the recent football game, I didn't uncover or open it in a crowd.

Found this one at about 10:30 PM. Not a very kid friendly area for this one. Make sure you're caught up on your tetanus shots before searching for this one, as there are old rusty pieces of fence laying around all over.

Left an autographed AJ Croce cd that I had long forgotten about and took nothing. There really isn't anything left in the cache worth trading for.

Checked this NaviCache as I walked into the game versus the Texans. Bills lost again, but our Spencerport group had a great tailgate party. For mid-NOV, the weather was gray, but 43F and snowless.

Found the cache this morning while tailgating before the Bills' game against Oakland Raiders. This was my second find. All appeared intact. Filled in the log. Left nothing, took nothing. Thanks for the adventure!

This was my first find. Rather easy to find, but well hidden. Everything was in good shape in the container. Took nothing and left nothing other than an entry in the log.

Chickenlips and I had a little time to kill before meeting some friends today.... So, we decided to take advantage of the area we were at to do some caching. We were thrown a little by the picture because things looked just a little different than we had expected. The GPS coordinates provided took us to within a couple feet of the cache. It was chickenlips persistence that paid off in the long run. I must admit, she is getting real good at finding these things.. We didn't take any of the cache items but we did leave some silly putty for the younger people that may visit the cache. We did however take the Ms M&M Imposter and will place her in another cache very soon. We have not yet decided on where that might be just yet!!! This was a fun cache and we were surprised that nobody else has taken advantage of it yet. THanks again...Balloonpilot and Chickenlips
