Warning

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
and satin sandals and say we've no money for butter.

I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.

I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick the flowers in other people's gardens
And learn to spit.

You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
And eat three pounds of sausages at a go
Or only bread and pickles for a week.
And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes.

But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
And pay our rent and not swear in the street
And set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.

But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.

This cache was recently retired from "the other service" and a new cache was placed not far away. I suspect this needs to be archived here as well.

I was out caching with Hucklebuckle today and we had to stop and check out an old school Junglehair cache. Having never visited this area before I was amazed at how beautiful everything was - and spent a great deal of time checking out all the trees and other plant life that lined these hills.

As we hiked in Huck took one way and I took the other but eventually we convened at the zero at about the same time and after a few minutes of searching the cache was in hand. The vantage point from up here was spectacular, and we spent several minutes enjoying the sights. We both took the same way back and again made many stops along the way to check out all the foilage. Thanks JH for a great cache and to the C.Clan for keeping it up and running!

Fun find with my young son. We got muggled by a dog-walker, but it couldn't be helped. Son got a whole geo-stash that was totally age appropriate, and I swapped books.

Visiting Rochester for the day from Pittsburgh, this was my seventh stop on a morning of caching before attending a funeral. I used to love visiting this park when I lived in this area about 15 years ago. I found the well-hidden and very colorful ammo can fairly quickly and enjoyed its purple contents. I signed in the logbook, but no trades were made. Thanks for the nice cache!

MrMom and I had so much fun finding this one with Junglehair. Between the incredible views up there in the middle of the night and all the fun we had that evening, this will always be one of my favorites. Thanks for the cache!

This last of three caches was the most demanding. I put my moutain bike to the trst and it did exactly what it was supposed to do. I found this last cahe easily. I took a pic from the kodak and then from my digital. I signed the log and took nothing nor left nothing. Bearcub was here in spirit. Nice hide!!

Nice paint job on the box Junglehair, although I'll always be partial to Olive Drab. Found no problem, traded a purple carabiner in accordance with the theme, for an Old Maid card game. Thanks.

It was well after 2am when I found this one with MrMom, the Goo and Junglehair. The views from the cache sight were phenominal! I really enjoyed the nights caching and this one will probably go down as one of my favorites (and not because purple is my favorite color!). Great job!

Nice hiding spot. Crash, my wife,(I'm crashnot)has this thing for purple so we had to do this one. Took the lotion and left a purple eyeglass case and a button "Purple makes life bearable" with a little bear on it.

Was feeling kind of colorful after the last cache...so I went in search of purple. But all I saw was green. Hunted for a little while and the green turned to purple. TNLNSL.

Thought I experienced Jimi Hendrix as I approached the hiding spot, but perhaps it was just a haze from the purple contents of the cache. Shared my romp with two woodchucks, a gray squirrel and a black butterfly. Left an I Love NY button.
