This is my first attempt at hiding a cache so any feedback would be appreciated.
The nearest road access to this cache crosses private property so park instead at N 42 degrees 48.667 minutes,
W 077 degrees 39.847 minutes. The trails on school grounds are always open for public use but are very lightly used.
The cache is a rubbermaid container with a white lid and it contains a variety of trade items. There is a first finders reward that you will really appreciate if you like good beer. Sorry, no actual beer in there, just a gift certificate for a great microbrewery, Custom Brewcrafters, in Honeoye Falls.
You will want to use the small bridge to enter the woods. Be careful of poison ivy along the sides of the trail the first 100 yards. As you head up the trail to the first ridge, be sure to notice the large Sugar Maple on the SW corner of the trail intersection. This tree has a fence running through it and one massive branch curving out on the uphill side. There are a number of other trees like this one along this ridge. Do you think you know how this tree relates the history of the area? E-mail me your ideas and I'll let you know. The woods and surrounding area are a great resource for teaching environmental science (which is what I do) to students of all ages.Enjoy your walk and the views up top.
If you head down the open field on the return trip you will want to go back into the woods on the trail on your left about 100 feet before the bottom. Cross the bridge to avoid the very wet area along the bottom of the hill.
If you come in the winter, bring the sled or x-country skis.

Found this cache while out hiking the area with Brogan. Was good to see this section of beautiful woods, and after a short stint around our zero Brogan made the find. Thank you for this cache and for introducing us to a section of woods that we would have never known about!

I really enjoyed the walk up the hill in the woods. That is such an old forest and those huge Maples are awesome. I located the cache right away once I found my way to the hiding spot and I signed the log. I didn't take or leave anything. My only problem I had was my timing was off a little and I got caught right in the middle of the LCS Homecoming parade, so I pulled off to the side of the road and I enjoyed the parade. I was happy to see such good community spirit as the whole village seemed to turn out to watch this parade, and the kids were having a great time. Oh to be that young again! Thanks for the great experience! -Paleoman52-

Found the cache straight away without any difficulty. Coordinates are right on! Enjoyed the view from the top including seeing Conesus Lake. A very good hide, with potential for a tough bushwhack if you choose the wrong route.
Thank you, I enjoyed myself.
