The Old Wind Mill and the Bull

Stage 1: Is found at Pibe Mølle which is believed to be built in 1779. Maybe 10 years later? The old wind mill is situated at its original place which as a matter of fact is rather pleasant to look at. The wind mill was used as a mill until 1921. Nowadays the wind mill is run by the local miller’s guild every summer on certain Sundays. In 2003 within the period May 25 to September 7.

The coordinates above point at an object near the old wind mill. In order to get the coordinates for stage 2 you must read the letters on this object. δ is the value of the first letter (the value is equal to the letter’s number in the alphabet). ψ is the value of the second letter. ß is the number of “peepholes” (Ø apx. 0.7 ft) found on either side of the wind mill.

Stage 2: The ‘bully’ part is found near Solbjerg Engsø which is located apx. 1.25 mi from the wind mill in another absolutely see worthy area. During a pique nique a couple of years ago we met ‘Basse’ – an awesome 2.866 lbs Aberdeen Angus bull at his prime – in the adjacent meadows. The farmer who owned ‘Basse’ also had a couple of smaller bulls – ‘Ole’ and ‘Jens’ – and some cows grassing at the meadows.

The cache at stage 2 is found at the coordinates N55° 59.θμ' E012° 15.θλ' where

λ = 2ψ - 2/3δ,
μ = 6ψ - 1/2δ and
θ = δ - ß.

Near stage 2 you can park at apx. pos. N55° 59.315' E012° 15.021'. You’ll find a nice viewpoint at apx. pos. N55° 59.410' E012° 15.021' from where you should be able to see the cattle (depending on the season).

The cache box itself is a spacy dark semi-transparent 0,5 gallons box (8×7×4 in) with a clear lid wrapped in a plastic bag.

Initial contents are logbook with a pencil, First Finder’s Certificate and a small selection of trading-goodies.

Do not publish spoiler information or spoiler images. The coordinates were determined as an average of 300 counts. GPS reception near the cache at stage 2 can not be rated as good.

Trin 1: Findes ved Pibe Mølle, som menes at være bygget i 1779. Måske 10 år senere? Den gamle mølle er beliggende på sin oprindelige plads, som rent faktisk er ganske pæn at se på. Vindmøllen var i brug indtil 1921. Idag kører det lokale møllerlaug med møllen hver sommer et antal søndage. I 2003 i perioden 25. maj til 7. september.

Koordinaterne herover peger på et objekt nær den gamle vindmølle. For at få koordinaterne til trin 2 må du læse bogstaverne på dette objekt. δ repræsenterer værdien af det første bogstav (værdien er lig med bogstavets nummer i alfabetet). ψ repræsenterer værdien af andet bogstav. ß er antallet af “glughuller” (Ø ca. 0,20 m) på hver side af vindmøllen.

Trin 2: Stedet, hvor du må ‘tage tyren ved hornene’, er nær Solbjerg Engsø, som findes ca. 2 km fra vindmøllen i et andet absolut seværdigt område. På en pique nique for et par år siden mødte vi ‘Basse’ – en respektindgydende 1.300 kg Aberdeen Angus-tyr i sin bedste alder – på de tilstødende enge. Landmanden, som ejede ‘Basse’, havde også et par mindre tyre – ‘Ole’ og ‘Jens’ – og nogle køer på græs på engene.

Cachen ved trin 2 findes ved koordinaterne N55° 59.θμ' E012° 15.θλ', hvor

λ = 2ψ - 2/3δ,
μ = 6ψ - 1/2δ og
θ = δ - ß.

Nær trin 2 kan du parkere ved pos. N55° 59.315' E012° 15.021'. Du finder en godt udsigtspunkt ved pos. N55° 59.410' E012° 15.021', hvorfra det skulle være muligt at se kvæget (afhængig af årstiden).

Selve cachen er en rummelig mørk halvgennemsigtig 2 liters box (20×17×10 cm) med klart låg anbragt i en plasticpose.

Initialindhold er logbog med blyant, First Finder’s Certificate og et lille udvalg af bytte-ting-og-sager.

Din log må ikke indeholde spoiler-information eller spoiler-billeder. Koordinaterne er fastsat ud fra et gennemsnit af 300 målinger. GPS-modtagelsen nær cachen ved trin 2 kan ikke siges at være god.
