Prepare yourself for some light caching in the »Library Garden« – in Copenhagen centre.

Glæd dig til lidt let caching i »Bibliotekshaven« – i Københavns centrum.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bibliotekshaven is a nice and quiet breating-hole in the centre of the pulsating metropolis. One can imagine the philosopher Kierkegaard – of whom a statue can be found in the garden – enjoy the place spending long hours here doing existentialistic thought-thinking.

Find the cache – and see all the nice flowers (in the summer season) around Mogens Møller's 25 ft tall unique copper sculpture which also is a fountain – with fish in it. At striking of the hour the fountain rises extra.

Bibliotekshaven is situated on Slotsholmen between Det kgl. Bibliotek and Christiansborg Slot – close to the harbour, the central administration, Børsen and Tøjhusmuseet. Admittance from both Rigsdagsgården by Christiansborg and from Christians Brygge at the waterfront.

The cache is a semi-transparent 4×3×1,5 in. plastic box with a yellow lid. As the box is rather small there is no room for any large trading objects. Initial contents: Logboook with a pencil, First Finder’s Certificate and some other small stuff.

The actual cache is placed by the coordinates N55° 40.δθλ' E012° 34.μφψ' which will lead you to a certain tree. The cache is to be found by the root of this tree.

Before you will be able to find the cache – of course you can always try without …;) – you must study the equestrian statue of King Frederik VII (founder of the Danish constitution) in front of Christiansborg Slot and find a small plate containing text and numbers. Here you will find the information required to solve the following elementary math problems:

δ = First number in line 2 minus 1844.
θ = Second number in line 3 minus 1905.
λ = The number in line 5 minus 1869.
μ = The number in line 1 plus 1.
φ = Second number in line 2 minus 1860.
ψ = First number in line 4 minus 1790.

When you search for the cache please do it at the utmost discretion, as the place often will be well visited. Remember to conceal the cache thoroughly after your visit.

Update as of August 2, 2003: Do not publish spoiler information or spoiler images. The coord's are determined as an average of 500 counts. However GPS reception near the cache can not be rated as good.

Enjoy caching ...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Her finder du de nødvendige oplysninger for at løse nedenstående små elementære regnestykker:

δ = Første tal i linie 2 minus 1844.
θ = Andet tal i linie 3 minus 1905.
λ = Tallet i line 5 minus 1869.
μ = Tallet i linie 1 plus 1.
φ = Andet tal i linie 2 minus 1860.
ψ = Første tal i linie 4 minus 1790.

I found it! 21 Aug 2003 by  cezanne  (Finds: 63  Score: 226)    (Hidden: 11  Score: 56.5)

I did the first part of this cache already last Sunday, but on that sunny afternoon the Library garden was much too crowded. I just admired the flowers and left without searching. Yesterday evening it was raining and only very few people were around which made it possible to search.

I found the cache after some minutes. It is well hidden and still in good condition.

Thanks, ArktiS for the nice cache and also for checking the cache before my arrival to Copenhagen.
Among the caches in the city area, this is my clear favourite.

No trade due to the rain.
