This is a one of a kind toilet seat museum located in the neighborhood of Alamo Heights.
Yes, you read it right. This is a toilet seat museum located in the detached garage of Barney Smith. Coordinates take you to a street on the side of his house. Just knock on the door and Barney will come out and give you the grand tour of his 644 and counting, decorated toilet seats. There is no sign. Barney loves to talk, and show video clips of his museum, which has been featured on the Today Show, Good Morning America, and local newscasts. Barney is 82 years old and is a local icon. None of his seats are for sale, so don't bother asking. He LIVES to show off his museum and talk to people about the idea behind each one. So don't be squeamish about knocking on the door. Having this museum and having people to talk to about it is one reason Barney has lived so long. Yes,we found it or should I say he saw us and hollered "Do you want to see my museum!?".We were amazed and he is a very nice gentleman to talk to.I saw things I haven't seen in years.Thanks for showing it to us.
