The easiest way to get to this one is to park in the back parking lot of Raymond Russell Park.
You will follow a riverbed with LOTS of debris left in it from the last flood. You will eventually climb out of the riverbed and make your own trail. There are no trails that I could see. You will have to bushwhack through cedar trees to find this one. Long pants, sleeves advisable. Tupperware container. I thought this would be a nice peaceful area, but with all the traffic noise of I 10 and airplanes overhead, it made me realize I was closer to civilization than I had anticipated, thus the title. Please cover it back up just like you found it. |
