Another simple hide in "Yet Another Park I Didn't Know About"

This is a neat little neighborhood park we discovered simply by studying our city maps. The city sows wildflower seeds here, so I bet it's just beautiful in the spring; there are lots of summer flowers poking their heads up right now, and some kind of heavenly-smelling mimosa is blooming at present (July).

The cache is hidden between two trails that are pretty close together, so you will need to be discreet at the site. You may wish to walk across the trail to the south (to a more secluded area) to log your find, if there are people in the park. The walk is short and flat; just about anyone should be able to negotiate it. Watch for abundant cacti and occasional three-leafs.

The cache was ransacked in April 2003 and I replaced it on May 7. PLEASE LEAVE THE CACHE AREA WHILE LOGGING. This will keep it intact for a longer time period. There is not much cover on the trails so it gets pretty hot; bring a bottle of water. There is a nice playscape with a nearby shaded picnic table, and a covered pavilion for groups. Have fun!

Pretty easy find, except for all the kids about. Container was moist.

Originally found this one on May 17th - just updating my logs. This is a great little park and I'm sorry I didn't know about it when I lived in the area a couple of years back.

Just going through my found list, and updating here on Navicache.
Well Moosiegirl, you've done it again! My uncle used to live 3 blocks from here, and even thought I visited many times, never made it to the park. It was nice and quiet while I was there, but as I was leaving (just in time) there was a load of young folk headed in, looking like they had in mind to do young folk stuff....

Found it in the rain without a GPS between the morning Clean Up Cache and the evening Halloween Bash. Took a McD pin, and left a Web-ling pencil and a small Santa ornament. The contents were somewhat wet.

This was a nice little lunch time hunt. I knew this park very well as I had eaten lunch there quite often. I was having trouble with signal strength and was about to give up when I bent down to pick up some trash..... and there it was. I had been within 5 feet of it most of the time I was out there. 2nd hunt, 2nd find.

GoHrnz and I had to get away from the office this afternoon so we picked this one for a little break. Nice park! I'll have to bring the kids here to run around and play hide and seek! TxHiPowr
