This cache was originally place by St Louis Boondogglers and adopted by Moosiegirl. The original owner's description:
This is our first cache made and it was on a great visit to Austin. While in town we found two nearby and decided to leave our own with Aunt Ann and Dan watching over. Cache is off trail in a great pool area. Lots of water and you might get wet. (At least during flood season when we placed it).

Addendum by the adopter (7/3/2003):
Container has recently been stolen and I will be replacing it with a new one shortly. Please be as discreet as possible while logging the cache and replacing it, as this is a very popular walking trail for the neighbors. Teen geo-muggles abound, so be cagey!

You can park 2 different places, along Floral Park at
N30 24.445 W97 45.234, or in Fox Way Dr (cul de sac) at
N30 24.724 W97 45.230. The second is a much shorter and less hilly walk, but the first is lovely if you are up to it.

This cache taught us an important lesson: don't leave the trail until the very last possible minute. Many scratches and pokes later, we got back on the trail and had a much easier time of it. Thank you!

Took - foreign coins (Thanks Thorax!)

Just trying to catch up on my logs. Found this one awhile back. Enjoyed the area - it's a neat little greenbelt park. Thanks!

2nd of 4 caches with Evermore, his wife and all our kids today. This one took us the longest to find. Everyone got to use the GPSr to bring us to it. EbyKid saw the hiding spot, Bubbles seconded, and EbyKid retrieved it.

Cool place and great hiding place for the cache. I would not want to try it when the water level is up. My boys were thrilled to see a bullfrog and a crawfish. Thanks!

I must have found it right after Moosiegirl replaced it. I didn't use my GPSr.

I left my usual Web-ling pencil, as well as a combo whistle/compass/thermometer/magnifier thingy, and took the rubber chicken, which Curly Tiger has been using to chase Miss Pumpkin around the house. She recently had a nightmare about being chased by a chicken with the head of a fish, so she REALLY doesn't like the chicken!

Had to take off my shoes and socks to get to this one - and what a great spot! I was a bit freaked out by the guardian... and I'm not normally scared by those things at all!

I am sad to report that the cache was not placed back very well, because the ENTIRE thing was full of water - up to the very top. The box weighed a ton while I was pulling it out of the hiding spot, and a torrent of water poured out when I tilted it slightly. Everything on the inside that is paper (especially the log book) is completely destroyed. I tried to dry the cache out - but it was truly SOPPING wet. I will inform the cache owner, because this one definitely needs some TLC!

Took (well, really, saved from drowning): Oregon Sunshine TB
Left: signature keychain & temporary log entry on paper - in a tightly sealed ziploc bag. I didn't want to leave anything else, for fear it would mildew in the cache box before it could be rescued.

This was a very fun hunt. The cache location was/is interesting. It was a great time for all. Alan took the necklace and Nick took the car. Both left dinosaurs. I just signed the log.

Thanks,

Second time is the charm for this cache. GoHrnz and I were here last Friday but could not locate it with the time we had and with the poor reception on oth our GPSr's at the time. We found it fairly quickly today, though. Nice area! I love this patch of woods! TxHiPowr

Went there with Moosiegirl and TreyB. This is a great hiding location but there are a few risks associated with it. Met the guardian, he is actually pretty friendly when you get to know him. He is just shy around strangers Really enjoyed everything about this place except the mosquitoes, which were far more aggressive the the guardian. Great job. Thanks, Wayne.
