This cache is located in Beaverdam Park. It is a pretty good hike!
The Park Rangers have asked that you make sure you allow enough time for finding the cache and your return to the parking area. They are very serious about their search and rescue efforts should hikers not be out of the woods at closing. The park hours are: January 7:30-5:30 February 7:30-6:00 March 6:30-6:30 April 6:30-8:00 May-Labor Day 6:00-8:00 September 7:00-7:30 October 7:00-6:45 November 7:00-5:30 December 7:30-5:00 This cache can be reached by either hiking, riding a bike or riding a horse. There is a hikers path and a 'multi-use' path (bike, horse and hiker). The cache can be reached by either. The paths are well marked. |

We Found It! This was our first GeoCache hunt and it went great! We took a Wobble Headed Turtle, and a Cape Henry Geo Coin. We left a LED Pen Light. Thanks for the Cool Cache!

Open Log: Personal use only Visiting from New Jersey for the week so I'm hitting the area caches. Pretty long walk but not too hard. Most of the tension on the way there is in wondering how long the trail will follow the lake's fingers before it crosses over. Once I got there though, it was an easy find. I didn't expect to find it so quickly as I was still 55 ft away from ground zero, according to GPS, but I happened to pass right by the hiding spot. Thanks.

Open Log: Personal use only Another entry to keep up with the Colemans. I had FTF when it appeared on the big site. This is one of the better caching hikes in the region. I've made this walk a few times. There is a letterbox three quarters of the way out that would make a nice doubleheader for those who are into both hobbies.
