Ziel ist eine Hütte auf italienischem Boden, knapp an der Grenze zu Österreich. Die Hütte befindet sich an den angegebenen Koordinaten. Wenn Du an der Hütte bist, solltest Du unbedingt eine Kostprobe des leckeren Bergkäses zu Dir nehmen, der dort angeboten wird. Dieser kann übrigens auch, in Rädern zu ca. 5 kg, käuflich erworben werden. An einem Nachbargebäude der Hütte findest Du ein relativ auffälliges Schild, auf dem der Käse beworben wird. Um den Cache zu loggen, schicke mir entweder den vollständigen Text des Schildes (sieben italienische Worte) per EMail, oder hänge an Dein Log ein Foto der Hütte dran (bitte darauf achten, dass das erwähnte Schild nicht zu sehen ist). Nach dem Motto "Der Weg ist das Ziel" beschreibe ich jetzt die meiner Meinung nach landschaftlich schönste Route. Teil 1 der Route: Fahre zunächst nach 46°N 37,320 / 13°E 15,180. Hier kannst Du entweder zu Fuß (Achtung, fast 1000 Höhenmeter!) oder mit dem (nicht tiefergelegten!) Auto auf einer Forststraße bis zur Rattendorfer Alm bei 46°N 34,971 / 13°E 11,959 (im Sommer bewirtschaftet) fahren bzw. laufen. Teil 2 der Route: Ab der Rattendorfer Alm geht's zu Fuß zum Cache (Koordinaten wie oben angegeben). Die Wanderung dauert etwa 90 Minuten und führt über einen ca. 1850 Meter hohen Berg, wo die Route den Karnischen Höhenweg kreuzt. (Höhenunterschied ab Rattendorfer Alm etwa 250 Meter) Festes Schuhwerk ist Voraussetzung - dieses sollte auch wasserdicht sein, da man einige kleinere Bäche überquert. Sonstige Ausrüstung ist nicht notwendig, da man sich nur auf markierten Wanderwegen bewegt. Die Wanderung ist somit auch für Kinder geeignet. Auf dem gesamten zweiten Teil hat man einen herrlichen Ausblick auf die Berge der karnischen Alpen - siehe Beispielbild "Trogkofel". English description The cache is located at a cottage on italian territory, not far away from the borderline between Austria and Italy. The cottage itself is located at the coordinates in the header. When you arrive at the cottage, you should not miss to get a taster of the delicious cheese they produce and sell there. This cheese can also be bought in units of about 5 kg. Next to the cottage you'll see another building. Attached to this building is an eye-catching, colorful sign with an advertisment for the cheese they sell there. To log this cache, you can either EMail me the seven italian words on this sign, or post a photo of the cottage (without the sign!) together with your log. According to the motto "the way is the target" I will now describe the route that is, in my opinion, the most scenic one. Part one of the route: Drive to the waypoint 46°N 37,320 / 13°E 15,180. Here you can either park your car and walk (caution: you'll have to manage 1000 meters altitude!), or drive with the car up to the Rattendorfer Alm, which is located at 46°N 34,971 / 13°E 11,959. Park your car here. During summer you can also buy food and drinks at the Rattendorfer Alm. Part two of the route: From the Rattendorfer Alm you have to walk to the cache. The coordinates are shown in the header. The walk takes approx. one and a half hours, and it leads you over a small mountain (altitude approx. 280 meters), crossing the route "Karnischer Hoehenweg". The difference in elevation between here and the Rattendorfer Alm is about 250 meters. Please wear waterproof hiking boots, because the track leads you through several small creeks. Other special equipment is not needed, because you only walk upon a marked hiking trail. Thus, the cache is also suitable for children. On the whole length of part two you'll have a wonderful panoramic view of the mountains of the Carnical Alps - see example photo "Trogkofel". |
