These coordinates will lead you to a marker describing Comal Springs. They are the largest springs in Texas and the Southwestern United States. They feed into the Edwards Aquifer, which provides water for a large area of South Texas. They have been tested as one of the cleanest water sources in the US.

Great park for caching. I don't think I've ever seen such a large gush of water coming out of a spring before.

Another find on my many road trips this summer - originally found June 26th - just updating my logs. Oh - this is the one where I was approached by a biologist who was looking for a fellow biologist (hmmmmm - I do actually have a BA in Biology) so I explained my agenda and he was rather interested. They were trapping critters coming out of the spring and id'ing and counting them. Thanks!

Stopped by and picked this up on the way to the Geo event. We had been here and read the marker before, but had to read it again to get the answer. Thanks, Wayne.
