*The Canonical and Comical Contemporary (and Certainly Could Change to Classic) Cartoon Cache Completely Constructed for the Causation of Cackling, Cachination, but Certainly not Consternation

Walk over and take a peek inside any office cubicle, workshop, garage, student locker, etc. Go ahead. We'll wait.

Back already?! Well, you probably spotted one or more cartoons which caused the inhabitant to shed tears of laughter (or at least generate minor snorts of snickering) prior to his/her deciding to pin it up.

Since you likely have similar cartoons featured prominently in your very own office cubicle, workshop, garage, locker, etc., here's your chance to share your wacky style of humor with the rest of the geocaching world!

Grab one of your side-splittingly funny cartoons (or a book of cartoons or a cartoon you've drawn or a cartoon flip-book or a pencil or anything reasonably related to this cartoon theme) and bring it with you.

(If you don't want to part with your original cartoon, you may want to make a photocopy of it. Then again, you may not. I'm no copyright lawyer, so don't look to me for advice!)

I've left a reasonably decent-sized spiral-bound logbook in the cache, so assuming that you did bring your favorite cartoon with you, use the glue stick in the cache to affix the cartoon to the next blank page in the logbook and bestow your usual praise for the cache, er, um, sign in as normal.

If possible, post a description of your contribution in your online log.

If you didn't bring anything with you (or even if you did), feel free to flip through the logbook and chuckle away!

Oh, and please don't take the glue stick!

NB: Geocaching is a family sport, so please keep this theme cache enjoyable for everyone. While I'm not a fan of censorship, I also don't want this to devolve into something where some pre-pubescent kid with a GPSr runs ahead of the family and gets to flip through your collection of favorite Playboy/Playgirl cartoons from the 1980s!

So let's apply this general heuristic: if it's suitable for printing in a newspaper, it's probably fine for this cache.

Bring (and use) your insect repellent! (I put a small spray bottle of OFF with 100% DEET in there, so feel free to use it if you need it (heed the label warnings about avoiding eyeballs, etc.), but please don't take it.)

Have fun!

Did this one on GC.COM in June 2003.

-----------------------------------

Ahhhh!!! Nothing like the smell of DEET in the morning.
After guessedimating the wrong road for parking, I turned around and had to navigate down J.C.Blvd to go around the big median.
Finally found the spot and hit the trail.
Circled around just to find the right approach and hit the woods.
Got to the right spot (coords were 7ft off - probably my Maggie). Had some ideas where to look and saw something that looked a little off.
Yep...it was the cache.
I opened the container and this must have set off some kind of mosquito alarm!!! Whhhoooppp, Whooppp, Whhhoooppp!!!
They were attacking me all over.
Luckily I had the deet with me and made with the sprayin'. Put on enough to maybe make Eastern Norcross West-Nile free.
Anyway, I was freed up enough to look and laugh through the comics.
I made my contribution of a Dilbert strip that had my gut busting.
Spied the mini Dilbert book, so took it and left a two-pack of super-glue (could be used if glue stick runs out).

Last thing to say is be aware that by putting on that much deet right before going to work can get some strange looks from co-workers. I just told them it was the new cool cologne by Ralph Lauren.

Thanks for placing it.
I'll have to return after some other comics have been put in there. Maybe slip away from work when things get too tense.
