This cache is located on an Island that can be a little tricky to get on. It is not recommended for small children or pets. The best approach I found is from the coordinates listed above which are the suggested parking coordinates.

The cache location is:

N42 54. 7AB W077 44.7CD

To get the number you need for A in the cache coordinates go to the largest tree on the Island located at:

N42 54.735 W077 44.717.

If you are looking at the common name for this tree, (not the Latin) and if a code had a=1, b=2, c=3, d=4 etc.. Find the 5th letter in the name of the tree, convert that letter to a number as described in the code, this is the number you need for A in the cache coordinates.

To get the number you need for B in the cache coordinates go to an old water fountain located at:

N42 54.716 W077 44.748.

On the fountain you will see a year. Add 2 to last digit in the year, this is the number you need for B in the cache coordinates.

To get the number you need for C in the cache coordinates go to the smallest tree on the Island, a recent planting located at:

N42 54.709 W077 44.728

Subtract 3 from the last digit in the year the tree was planted, this is the number you need for C in the cache coordinates.

To get the number you need for D in the cache coordinates go to a US Coast & Geodetic Survey Bench Mark disk located at:

N42 54.721 W077 44.730

On the disk you will see the letter G followed by 3 numbers. The second number after the letter G is the number you need for D in the cache coordinates.

This is a micro cache, bring your own pen for the small logbook within. The encrypted hints will be very specific, if you like to have a little fun trying to find caches donít look until you have to, they will be a spoiler.

Hello Rock. I know you've given up on this site, but I still use it. Someone has to. :-) This was a nice tour of the Island, I liked it. Found the cache no problem. TFTC.

Szuchie and I stopped here on our way home from caching near Rochester. This is a beautiful little island and everything is so well cared for. I enjoyed reading all the information here. We successfully located the cache, nice job, and Thanks! -Paleoman52-

What a fun cache this was - it really gives you a tour of the whole island (hehe). I have to say, in the many years I had friends that lived in the Avon/Caledonia area, I'm embarrassed to say I've never stopped here even though I've been by it countless times. Just another reason caching rules!

P-man and I had a really fun time taking in all this little park had to offer - not to mention all the plaques and "informational signs" that told you everything you needed to know. This is a REALLY nice area that is maintained extremely well. Thanks for showing us a great spot Rocky - I personally have you to thank for showing me a lot of great locations today! But those are all in upcoming logs...haha.

Thanks for another fun stop on an excellent day with my friend P-man!

Found it at 10AM. Use to drive by this park often when we lived in Mumford, but never stopped. Thanks for the excuse.

What a beautiful Island! The palm trees swaying in the gentle breeze, the striking sandy beaches with the water lapping gently on the shore, and all those stunning girls in their bikiniís tanning on the beach, WOW. Thanks Rocky for getting me to this wonderful place.

Woke up early once again on the last day of my vacation week, checked for new caches, and here was this one was daring me to come. (Was hoping for no new ones so I could go back to bed!) So of course, I had to go for it. Beautiful morning for an 'Island' tour, lots of hustle and bustle going on in the circle around me, but no one else on the island. Found the cache at 9AM as the church bells were going off. Another 1st to find, not bad for a 'newbie' w/ over 150 finds and over 1yr of caching, huh 7M? LOL Thanks Rocky for another great cache hunt.

Thanx for the cool multi, Rocky. I always have liked that island....Just never had the chance to DASH over for a closer look at it...
I found this one about 12:30PM.
Well, it looks like I was also late yet again for a FTF of a Rocky cache, LOL. Got beat by Peppermill 6-Pack this time. Darn newbies! LOL
