The combination of the day, the cloudy-blustery-wind-howling -through-the-trees weather, the location, and that this was find #13 for me, all added to the "creep factor". I've known of this place for a very long time, and still consider it one of the most peaceful places. A great "theme" hide by ScoutMark, I hope he's got more planned. Found it with EbiChan (and future geocacher "Nub") and HenryVII. T: Test tube of beads (EC), L: Skeleton tatoos (H7)

This marks our fifth and final cache of the day. This also marks the first time we searched for and found all five caches. We were visiting the Genesee Country Museum and decided to tackle some caches in the area. What a pleasure it was to travel here with our bikes in toe! We rode where ever we could. This place was not the place for bikes. after reading the the hints and finally getting them, we walked to the area. It took us some time to find it. The GPS was jumping in this area. We'd be 4 feet from it one second then 110 feet the next! Anyway, We finally came across it. It was starting to get dark and the bug spray was wearing off as well. We signed the log quickly and traded a bone pen for a police car. We took some pics for y'all to gaze at and got the heck out before the bugs ate us alive. My sidekick wasn't to kean on the fact that they were pretty big around these parts. Nice hide. Took pride in the Veterans that were placed here.

A great spot! I love the history of the area. A great walk to end the day 5 for 5. Left an american flag and took a bone treat for my dog, he can't make the trip anymore but he sure appreciated the treat.

Finally, a successful mission on a discouraging day! We came over from Oatka Creek Park where we'd missed a few, so we went by a likely-looking boneyard while driving here. Found a nearby trail that led in the right direction, too. Of course, this led to a few obstacles that made the find even more interesting! Once in the right area, we found the cache without a problem. Took the travel bug, left a Scooby Doo book and a bone-shaped dog treat.
This area is an absolute treasure and I'm so happy that we were able to find it! Gotta love a hobby that brings me to a hidden gem like this.

Found this one after dark - I love cemetaries by moonlight!

I took the high road in to take advantage of the moonlight on such a clear night and crossed the tracks. I discovered a wonderful collection of burdocks before I turned the light on. Burdocks and polar fleece do not belong together!!

Found the cache and signed the log. I don't think I've ever seen such a neat paint job - mine are usually sprayed to help with the camoflage with lot's of overspray, this one looked like a sign painter did it...nice job.

Since I didn't have any bones with me I took nothing and left only my log. The tunnel made the walk back much easier and more scenic.

For a first time "Hider" you did a great job!

I never knew this was here and wish I had. Great idea and place for a cache. I came with Caron on this hunt and ran into a few hundred skeeters that didn't stop me from having a great time. Cache was well thought out and we spent some time looking around before and after our adventure. We were "First to find" which also made it nice.

After we headed back to the truck, Caron pulls out a can of skeeter spray she forgot she had... I wanted to leave her there for that alone!

I have included a couple pix you may notice on the way to the cache...safe to look at though!

Thanks for the great time and bringing us to a new place.
