This cache requires only a short (.20 mile) hike from the parking area at N-35.39.318 / W-082.10.755. Trail has very little elevation change and is clear most of the way but you may have to do some rock-hopping near the cache if the creek is up. Cache is hidden in a clear, plastic container with a white lid.
Although this is a short trail, you will be treated to some beautiful scenery along the way with a pristine, trout stream on your right and a rugged, virgin forest on your left. There are huge rocks and many tall trees including a magnificent, old Beech for you to enjoy. The canopy is very dense here so keeping a good lock on the sats may be a problem. The cache is well hidden and it would probably be a good idea to bring along a small flashlight to check for "critters" before you reach in to retrieve this "Box in the Rocks." The cache is full of neat stuff so be sure to bring something to swap. |

A great spot and a beautiful walk. Well hidden but not too difficult. My first cache! Lots of trees might make a GPS signal iffy. I used my external antenna (which has a pre-amp) and had a signal nearly the whole time.
