Finally got back out to do a cache with a buddy. We did a little too much climbing and I'll be feeling it in the morning. Found the cache around 5:45pm. We took nothing and left nothing. There was also no log book to sign. Nice walk and hunt.

What a beautiful day for geocaching! Took the path and had no trouble finding the cache. We left the mini statue pencil sharpener that we found at the Sleepy Hollow cache earlier in the day. Took nothing.

This one does not take too long if one stays on the trail. The tree cover did not seem to hamper sat reception, but provided much needed shade. thanks for the adventure.

HOT HOT day (but cool with a bit of a breeze under the canopy!!) Knowing Gimpy as we do, we kept to the trail all the way around the hill until we got to the correct path...we were fooled a bit by the downed tree closer to the bottom, but managed to find the actual one a short time later.....Gimpy - I don't know how you find these places, but I like your caches the best!! (Shhhhhh...don't tell anyone else!! lol!!) Anyhow...thanks for a great trip, a heart pumping climb and a beautiful walk!! Took a CD of screen savers and left a frog bubble blower. Oh yeah - I took a picture of my beautiful wife with the camera too!! Thanks for a great one!

Our First Cache!

Had a fun time finding it. Loads of dogs out with their humans in the park on such a nice spring day.

Quickly learned that topographical maps might be a good thing in the future! In our zeal at following the GPS lead we tramped off into the underbrush and up and down and UP and down a couple of somewhat steep hills we could have avoided. Saw the cache from above but decided to go around and approach it from below for the safety of life and limb...

We signed the log and took a picture (3 frames left on the camera). We took the frog candle, the Old Forge thimble, and the cool blue felt mask. We left behind a bunch of action figures: Aqua Spiderman, a Warriors of Virtue kanagroo, and the Red Power ranger with the Ape vehicle (Chosen by one of our members because you had to be an ape to lumber through all those hills like we did).

It was great to finally relax on the nearby fallen trees and read through all of the other entries in the log. Though the sun went down while we read and it quickly got a bit cold out there. We look forward to finding more in the future!

Another great Spring day in February. Glad we had hiking boots, real mucky getting to the cache area. This one took a little time, tried the high road and the low road and had to go back where we started again. It looks like there is a butt trail in the fallen leaves where someone may have tried the approach from above! The terrain might be just a bit more than a 2! We took a wheresgeorge bill and left a magnifying glass. Thanks for the fun (and the workout) :) Mike and Bob

My wife and I found this cache today around 4PM. Due to several mistakes on my part we ended up passing it once, going way out of our way (some really steep hills over there) and finding it the 2nd time around. The going was very slippery due to a bit of snow, ice, and mud with lots of wet leaves mixed in. Beautiful day and a great hike. Took a koosh ball and left a matchbox car. Thanks - - MuddyBoots

What can I say! This was a fantastic adventure! Fearless leader brought some of the HIltonclan with us. Dman and Flash(penned on this hunt cause as soon as he got the GPS from fearless he was gone in a flash). I DXChallenged, tried to instruct fearless as to the path to take. As per my name, I always pick the wrong way. Should have parked at the furthest spot near the house-pavilion. I kept saying It's just off a path. But Flash was gone and before we knew it sprinted up mountains and back. Fearless felt his age as could not keep up and I am proud of saying that I didn't fall........Rather I worked on some new techniques and will pen some new terminology for geocaching...Hboot boarding and small tree flossing. It's done like this.....You're at the top of a leaf strewn hill. Squat down and surf to the bottom while hiking boots are on your feet. BTW try to avoid small trees as they create a flossing effect :D.
BTW, Gimpy did you loose a leather glove? Found it just as group made a wrong turn (not my fauilt). Has a letter G on it. Brought it home, email me and I'll send it back. Thanks for the hint! Once near the cache found it right away. Took Our Father penny (fearless collects flattened pennys), flash light key chain and lip balm. Left a Willow complete story CD, Spice girl CD and an 8 ball that has a great comment for site........

Thanks for such an excellant day. Made for great stories at the dinner table...DxChallenged

Acheaved the goal with handicap. Namely my GPS quit(low batteries). Had to resort to photos and knowledge of topo maps perused the day before. Went to top of hill indicated by recalled topo and looked down bank. I was lucky enough to be looking straight down on it matching photo. Took snake left batteries. Yes! I held off opening them for my own needs. Another 5 minutes and they would have been in MY GPS and I wouldn't have had a trade item. This was my first visit to this very nice park. Before I realized it I had walked through a frisbee golf course and in the middle of play.

Hi Gimpy!

Another great job of placing the cache, a bit tricky at first due to where I was standing I lost sat contact, but was back in the game after a few short steps (none of which was in that horse stuff)

I would like to claim that I was the first to find this cache but the log had someone by the name of scott written in it. So Scott if you are reading this, step up to the plate ,sign in and log your find bud!

I left a new yo-yo and took nothing, though you had some great things included with your cache, i wanted to build on that. I signed the logbook and blessed you with a picture of myself taken with your camera.
At first I was laughing because I could see where someone was slipping in the mud., I had assumed it was you but now think it might have been scott!
Once again thanks for the fun! I had a great time.
