This was the fourth of the caches I did in the Powder Mills Park Area. I acutally did this cache while looking for (Adirondack Journey). The GPS in this area very jumpy. The cache was off the trail a bit and none of the picture hints were helpful. Gary may want to update these pic's. Anyways, it took me 30 minutes to find it. I noticed that the kodak was full so I couldn't take a pic of myself! Gary might want to replace it. Very nice hide. Traded nothing. My sidekick was here in spirit today.

Open Log: Unrestricted As the GPSr counted down we used the two-pronged attack to surround the cache and Ginny was the first to spot it. The cache is sitting curiously out in the open but not really visible from the trail. As we began to look over the log, we heard our car alarm go off! Just Evan getting out to join us and setting it off but in our haste to get back I forgot to leave anything! Sorry. Took the Collared Lizard stuffed animal and I am thinking of making a TB out of him and sending him off to visit the desert southwest where his relatives live. 2 of 2 for the day. Thanks for the hide.

Open Log: Personal use only Weather went better when we all came for searching this cache. We, that is: Parts of the former guest family (Bob, Missie and Phil) of my brother, when he was an exchange pupil im the eighties, my Dad and my brother and of course, me. I introduced them to geoaching. Found it quite easily in a stormy, wonderful park! This is probably the oldest cache I ever found! Thanks for this cache and greetings from Germany, Wulf

Went team caching with Bill and Ruth from Peppermill 6-Pack. Even with 4 GPS units going, it took us a bit to find the cache. Eventually found it at 10:15am. Dropped off Marty the Martian travel bug. Thanks for the hide.

Open Log: Personal use only Found it at 4:15 pm. Cache might be out of its hiding place. Took a few minutes to locate it. Shouldn't be hard to find with a little searching. GPS read 65' from coords with 60' accuracy. I'm sure it is close to its orignal hiding spot. Took nothing, left nothing.

Open Log: Personal use only This one took us awhile to find. We kept losing satellites, but we were persistant and my husband finally found it. We brought our two boys and I keep hoping that they will start getting the enjoyment I do out of this, but it doesn't seem to be happening. It was a beautiful day and I enjoyed the hunt. Took nothing/left nothing.

We came in from Wadham's Lodge and first attempted Wadham's Walk to no avail. Decided to try this one next. We had a Topo map and decided to take the less steep path up. A very nice walk up to the cache. Left a green Furby and took the Little Stewart airplane. This was our third cache. On the way back to the car we successfully found Wadham's Walk.

Found it! Wish I'd read the logs to see that there was an easier way up the hill - but I made it anyway, so it all worked out! 6:15 am and not a soul in sight unless you count deer. Coordinates led me in the right direction, Personal Cache Radar got me to the box. A pretty walk on a dewy morning.

Open Log: Personal use only Great park and a good cache site. Their were many possible sites nearby to hide a cache, but luckily I found it as my was GPS bouncing around a little. I took a level and left a wheresgeorge bill and a compass zipper pull. Thanks for the hunt! I liked Powder Mill so much I was going to hide a new cache just East of yours, but when I climbed over a rugged hill I ran into houses. That did it, I decided to go to Chimney Bluffs in Sodus.

Open Log: Personal use only Went out during lunch with a couple guys from work, including Road Kill. Planned on hitting both caches in Powder Mill park today and this was the second. We parked at the road and walk in the direction the GPS told us. Tricky... I learned today that if there is a hill involved, walk around it. After walking (huffing and puffing) up one hill, down the back side and up the second, that there's got to be a better way. I was the first of the three of us to get to the site, but couldn't find the cache. Road Kill studied the terrain and his intuition took him right to the spot. We were all sweating profusely (at least I was) and were going to be late getting back to work in Henrietta. We took a photo and I traded a deck of cards for a caribiner. Had a good time and lots of laughs (one of the guys fell on his rear on the trail heading back out - got that on camera. Thanks for a good one Gimpy

Open Log: Personal use only Road Kill and his co-workers make a noon trek for two caches. 1st to Wadhams Walk and then on to one of Gimpys treasures. It was over hill and over dales - wrong way again - never fails. One of the group had his heart set on beating Road Kill and managed to beat both of us older gents passed the cache. Needless to say he heard "Huckle Buckle Bean Stalk" from both older gents. Nice treasures here folks. Be sure to bring a valued trade item. Road Kill is grinning

I finsihed Wadham's Walk, and then came here. It was touch climb up the one hill, but did it without stopping. I saw later I could have gone around, but oh well. I found it without any wrong turns. I am getting better at this stuff. I left a small level, and took a transformer toy. I also got picture with cache camera of me and my puppy. I think the battery is dead as the flash wouldn't seem to charge. Hopefully it comes out.
