This is my second cache in a small Town of Avon Park. This has all the usual town park features, picnic pavilion, ball diamond, etc. However it also has a long history from an era gone by and a special use that many will enjoy watching.

The morning I placed the cache the graceful athletes were out getting their morning workout. I wanted to offer the driver my GPS to clock the speed as they seemed so much faster when they go by as you stand at the rail compared to television or the distant view when I have seen them perform in a more formal setting.

If you donít know what Iím talking about why donít you trot on down to Avon Driving Park some morning and check it out.

You are looking for a clear Tupperware like container with a white top. There are no items to trade, just a logbook to record your visit. Please be sure to push down hard on all 4 corners of the cache container to re-seal it. Try to return it to the hiding spot just as you found it.

Never knew MickEMT got out this way, but he does indeed get around. I parked as close to this as I could (about .15 miles), and found it exposed and upside down in the snow. Replaced where I'm sure it's supposed to go. Got to see the Driving Park in use later after finding some other nearby caches, that was pretty neat. TNLN, TFTC.

Another great Rocky offering! I had friends that lived in the area for several years, and like much of Avon (apparently!) there were a great many things I never explored while visiting them! Hehe.

P-man was nice enough to shuttle me around to a few of his favorite caches in the area, and this one was our first stop. This was a fun little walk in a very nice area - luckily I found the cache pretty quick, and got the opportunity to enjoy the scenery. Just another hidden gem for those of us not familiar with the area. Thanks again for showing me another great spot while I was in the area today! What a great day of caching it's been!!!

I decided to give this one another try after a quick unsuccessful try about a week ago. It wasn't as hard to find this time though because the weeds had been knocked down and the path kind of led me to the cache. TNLN and signed the log. - Paleoman52

Our first find in the (almost) dark. Coords were dead on and practically walked right up to this one. The cache is very small and wet inside. It doesn't seal well anymore. TNLN

Another park we didn't know about. No one was on the track but from the marks we guessed what is raced here. Looked around a bit for the cache - of course in all the wrong places. Another one that we walked past a few times.

Came over from Sand Point cache. Park was quiet this morning but did see the track being used by a couple 'athletes'. Was neat to watch. Walked over to cache area, took a bit to find it tho due to GPS doing flips and all the good hiding spots there. Found at 11:20AM. Thanks for my 2nd cache of the day.

2nd of 6 finds today Found at 11:50 AM
This must be snapping turtle day. After seeing one at Paper Mill Park we saw another, although not as large, crossing the road as we were entering this park. I stopped and he stopped to let me take his picture. Only one athlete on the track today. Not as much trouble finding this cache as at Paper Mill. Found it right away, cords. dead on as usual with a Rocky cache. Thanks for the hide in this interesting place.
