In keeping with my current MO for placing
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest_cache.asp?u=jbmccarthy69
this area had two possible areas.
So I made this a 2 stage serial cache.

Neither cache is not hidden under any sticks, fallen trees, or rock piles. There is no need to turn over any rocks.

Stage 1
Almost a micro cache... 4"x3"x2" plastic container.
Contains coordinates for stage 2.

Stage 2
1 gal. round, highly camouflaged container.
The container is visible from the path.  But because of the special camouflage you may not know that it is the container.

There is also another cache in this area:

The State Park website has a nice

Found this one long ago. Log was as follows:

This is one cemetery that I can say I haven't set a stone in. Cache was guarded by some serious PO. I got to be the lucky one in both retrieval and replacement. LUCKY ME! TFTC I think.

I was up in Coloma for a company rafting trip with AWE. Ten of us stayed over Thursday night. We didn't go to sleep until after midnight; so they were all still asleep when I got up at 6am. I had trouble sleeping maybe because my tent was right next to a noisy stream or maybe just because I haven't been camping in twenty years. I didn't have a web page for this cache, but luckily enough I had stored the waypoint for stage two somehow. Still, I took the wrong approach to the cache, entering cross country. I ran into a cache that was well-surrounded by poison oak; so I put on a glove and used some plastic bags and started yanking the stuff out. I was able to make a path to the cache, so that I could retrieve it, and somehow I seem to have escaped contact (getting soaked by the river water later must have done it). Part of the camouflage seems to have broken, but I wasn't up to the task of retrieving that, too. I took Gepetto and left SmsheCoin SC31, a Giants smashed penny, and a pack of Young Indiana Jones cards. I also traded the wheresgeorge dollar bill. My friend Min gave me hell later when she woke up and heard that I had gone caching without her; she said I should have wakened her. I considered taking some of my coworkers back to this one after the trip, but I was worried that one of them would get caught by the poison oak.

Found this one back in May of 2003. Interesting location. Thanks!
