Benton City - Fry Rec Area.

The upside of this caches location is that it shouldn't float away if the area floods. The downside it that its very close to the park boundary, so if you get 'there' and think you should cross that fence... DON'T.

Sixth of 7 caches I found today with Navcb in the greater Vinton area. Hit this one about 7:30 pm. Our GPS kept trying to tell us to go about 40 feet across the fence, but we stuck to the fenceline and eventually found it.
The hardest part about this cache was finding where in the heck the park was! Benton City must be a great place to live, because its not on any of the maps we had and we had to keep leap frogging roads till we found the access road. I guess the residents are keeping it a well guarded secret.

Took the one dollar bill and left yet another package of x-treme breathmints for the next intrepid geocacher to find this neat, out-of-the-way recreation area. <<<<I no longer hide mints in caches, thanks to Welch for the tip.>>>>

Great hide!!!

We camp here once in a while and were surprised to see the gate up the hill still locked. It is usually open in the summer. Found the cache easy enough. There was a log entry from some mushroom hunters on 10-May. TNLN

Great little park. We did a little unnecessary bushwacking thanks to cloudy conditions and a GPS on the fritz. But we had fun! Left a PC Pinball game, handlotion and money. Took airplane and car. Thanks for the great cache!
