Terrain is nice for most of the hunt, but expect it to get rough!
I placed this cache while out hunting for another. The container is a .30cal painted (forest green)and lettered retired ammo can. You can expect to find tons of great Items in this cache if you are skilled enough to locate it. I will not take credit for this area due to another cache that was placed near by, but it is by far a very nice and beautiful location you should not miss out on. Bring the mountain bike if you have one, and enjoy all that the mountain and waterways have to offer. You can expect to do some walking to locate this cache, but for most of it the going is nice and easy with plenty of elbow room until you get near the end. If you found this cache page by clicking on the red/blue pins on the state map, the you might not have seen that there is another cache that map wise is so close that the pins are on top of each other. Find the other cache page via zip code search or with this link http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=2109 You will want to bring your camera on this adventure if you have one, and deet in mid summer would not be a bad idea as well. Make sure you mark waypoints before you step off into any heavy wooded areas. And also it would be a good idea to inform someone at home where you went ( don't need anyone getting lost) feel free to take an Item from the cache, but please replace it with one of your own so that others may enjoy the hunt. Fill out the enclosed log book with any Information on you or your group you would like to give out. I have included pictures with this cache page, but some of them could be sure give-aways, so look only if you need the help! I have included the parking area coordinates in the cheat section along with other clues ( sissy's only) Pack a lunch and spend the day...you won't regret it! Open Log: Non-commercial use only This is our first Navicache log, the find was a bonus, since the main goal started out to be the Coopers Overlook Cache by Dale Powers. The coords for this were in his description, so we had to look for it. It was a very easy find as the cache was out in the open, I spotted it from about 20' away. Otherise it is in good condition. We took a smokey bear magnet ,left a bumble button and signed the log. We did re-hide the cache in a close location so next cacher will have to look for it. The coords will still be good. Thanks for a nice walk in the Erwin Game Mgt Area, Yurtles.

Went in with NonnyBee & HiJack before they got their names. BalloonPilot, ChickenLips, WW Gobstopper, Kurt and Donette all headed in for the 3 local caches here. I was exciting to see the interest of the newbees. These were fine caches and helped hook 2 more cachers into the sport. Took nothing and left only my log in the book. Thanks Quinn

We went on a cache excursion with some friends of ours for the very first time. After receiving a brief synopsis of what to do and expect, we started looking for the Hatfield's and McCoy's. It was a beautiful walk through the woods and exciting to find the cache. Our cachers took playing cards and left eraser coins. We did not sign the book since they did. It was an exciting event for us and we are starting to think very seriously about doing this by ourselves.

This is a very well hidden cache. I was starting to entertain thoughts of giving up the hunt when one in my group stumbled upon the well concealed ammo box.

5th of 6 finds today. Found at 4:15 PM. Came here from Erwin Beaver Pond Cache. Never did find any trail in off the main trail from the Beaver Pond if there is one. But I did find a lot of mud. Cache is hidden real well, but I found it after a few minutes. While logging in, GPS was bouncing between 3 and 30 feet. Took the roll of film as my camara was on it's last picture and left a mosquito head net. Also took a squirt of bug spray. Thanks for the hide. Getting tired, but one more to do and I'll have all 6 of the Erwin's done today. Onto Coopers Overlook Cache.

Mrmeasure and wife (the gofer) made this the third find of the day in the Erwin Game Mgt. area. Bushwacked from the Deep Pine Forest cache over to Erwin Beaver Pond. Then down the road and bushwacked in from there. A little messy in the woods, but no problem finding it. Coordinates were right on. Lotsa stuff in the can. Took the Lantern Key Chain, and left a yellow golf ball, and a genuine mrmeasure 6 inch plastic ruler of unbelievable accuracy.
