Placed this cache in a lovely wooded area. I was seeking the "Potter's Ponds" cache, and came upon snow a couple feet deep that seemed to stretch forever - Hence the name.

This cache is a smallish plastic food container, maybe a quart in size, hidden in/under a fallen log. I have covered it almost completely with rocks to afford some shelter from the elements, but it should be obvious. Recommend higher clearance vehicle, the road is no picnic the last couple miles. My Subaru cleared the rocks and washouts, but lower clearance cars could get hung up. Recommend local inquiry as to whether road is open, but there's a nice hike to the cache if not.Cache sits at 8860' elevation. My cooordinates could be a bit off, due to HEAVY foliage. Be sure and take the hint along, just in case. This cache is, as any of you who have visited can attest, a bear to get to, and may require a re-alignment on your vehicle.
