Grab a garbage bag, head to the starting waypoint & look up the maximum velocity, V.
On this 3 waypoint cache, you'll always have 9-11 satellite accuracy, no GPS NaviFritz from tree cover, no greenery to trample (no poison ivy) & minimal bugs. This cache consists of The Imposter hitchhiker (taken 7/28/01) and items for equal value exchange: Garland House drink chit, $5 Sullivan's Charbroil certificate (taken 7/28/01), & digital watch. For emergencies, I included poncho, flashlite & GPS batteries if needed. Of course, there's a WheresGeorge.com bill for free tracking. Please tell us what you swapped. |

Open Log: Personal use only Beautiful day for a ride on my scooter, so I verified that the cache is still there. My plans to beat Winter erosion have worked. The fishing lure hanging from the "pointer overhead" is gone, but that's to be expected on a public beach.

Open Log: Personal use only Wouldn't put it on private land. I'm back in NY, so I'll check it out.

Open Log: Personal use only Got the first two parts. At the 3rd, GPS pointed to large building on private land. Picture clue showed sand........is it still there?

Have looked for this cache twice. I do believe I'm at the picture you supplied. Is this cache still active. Haven't found a thing except where an ammo box might have been placed.

We absolutely could not let this one beat us and we finally conquered it! We looked in the spot even with our gps' both showing 450 feet off coords, we must have done something wrong. It took us a couple of tries, but we finally found it. Nice cache!

"...they where the best times we have had since starting caching"...then I'VE SUCCEEDED, regardless of your "thumbs down"!

Open Log: Personal use only Just wanted to make a little note. I have made 2 attempts at just "Part One" of this cache. Both were over a month or so ago and although they where both failures, they where the best times we have had since starting caching. On attempt one, me and Petey went on the day that we had about 50-60 mph winds, and the peir was half covered in ice. The waves where actually crashing so hard into the side that they where splashing onto the other side. Caught all on video, we made it 3 quarters of the way to find out we where on the wrong one. By the time we turned around, the camera, and just about everything exposed, where cover in solid ice. We where too busy worring about the waves, that we never payed attention to where we had to go. Stay tuned for past attempt 2 and future attempt 3.

Open Log: Personal use only Did part one a few weeks ago. A little unsure of our waypoints for the second part got assurance from Yardboy that we shouldn't trust the maps on our GPS. Headed out to finish this one today. Found it with no problem. Used this information to find waypoint 3. Headed there but did not have a picture of the clue. We're sure we were in the right spot but couldn't find the cache. We'll look again next time we are out that way.

Open Log: Personal use only Well due to too many folks in the final area of the cache I decided to wait until today to finish up this adventure. Glad that I did as i am not 100 % sure I would have had enough sun light last time to figure it all out. Went with Caron today and victory was ours. Great job by the way to Yardboy for a well thought out cache. You really Lured me in. I signed the logbook and took a 1.00 george leaving a 5.00 george in it's place. I also took the sullivans cert and hitchhiker to be replaced in your other cache...if I find it! Thanks again for the great time!
