We love to kayak on the Mattabesset River and thought it would be a great place to hide our fist cache. We put in at Harbor Park Restaurant in Middletown and paddled one mile north up the Connecticut River to the Mattabesset. Our initial goal was to find the Kingbird’s Hideout cache. Shortly before we found that one, I spotted a good place to hide our cache.

This is a small sized Tupperware container with a log book, a bluebird and a few coins and a travel bug. I hope you enjoy the paddle and the cache.
