The hike is only 1.2 miles from the parking lot, but it feels like 3 miles because of the elevation increase.

Lake is the location of a High Sierra Camp, one of five that are 8 miles apart from each other in a circle. Some are located at excessively high altitudes. Reservatons are available to the public.

We saw a grouse with her babies, and an unshy marmont.

TO PROVE YOU WERE AT THE COORDINATES:
1. From the Coordinates (FTC) What is located between the lake and the main camp building?
2. FTC, how many windows are on the side of the building?
3. What is the most outstanding feature of the shore line on the other side of the lake?
