A .60 mile round trip to the banks of the North Branch of Smokes Creek in West Seneca. There is no bushwacking involved with this cache. Unless you insist on doing it.

The West Seneca Wetlands are about 70 acres, but the only sign you'll see identifying them is along Ridge Road on the opposite side of Rt. 219 from where this cache is located.

Although in West Seneca, you'll have to access this area from Lackawanna! More specifically, the Fisher Rd. dead-end off of Abbott Road. Parking coordinates are N 42 49.132 W 078 47.591

Trailhead coordinates are N 42 49.144 W 078 47.618. This is to prevent people from parking way down at the end of the dead-end near live railroad tracks. Also, it would it be foolhardy to try to access this cache by pulling your car over on the side of the road on Rt. 219. You probably drive within 300 feet of the cache on 219. You would most likely attract the attention of State Troopers checking out your vehicle anyways.

There's a ditch at the trailhead, but there is a conveniently placed rock to step on. There are some signs of dumping near the parking coordinates, and some signs of teen activity in the wetlands, but nothing too crazy, and this is a pleasant walk in a nice area (with lots of highway noise). Feel free to CITO.

The cache is very near a main trail, please re-cover well. There is plenty of cover material around.
