A short (10 minute) hike, off the paved trail in Valley Park in Mendota Heights. Use Parking Area at N 44° 53.576 W 093° 07.647 accessible from Marie Avenue. For your own safety and the safety of others,
Trailhead (N 44° 53.475 W 093° 07.825) is right off the paved trail through the park. Remember, the most direct route isn't always the best. (You should not have to bushwhack much, just follow the game trail.) The cache is contained in a camouflaged capsule, too small for most Travels Bugs/Hitchhikers, but still big enough to accommodate several small trade items and most geocoins. Avoid the pervasive burrs by staying to game trails as much as possible. Some stealth may be required, depending on the season, as the cache area can be partially visible from the main paved trail through the park. Please sign the log book while you are there. Open Log: Unrestricted Found this on a gorgeous, warm, November Saturday with my toddler daughter in tow. I didn't find a trail per se to go up the hill, but thankfully, the fall's effect on plant life made bushwhacking up the hill an easier task. Nifty little hide, wasn't what I had expected. TFTC!
