The cache is located at the entrance to a small wood at the top of Pipers Hill. It has marvelous views into the valley, and it is often possible to see deer.
Parking can be a bit iffy. There is no designated parking spaces and it is in the middle of the country side. The nearest spot is a field entrance, so please be considerate to the farmers if you see the feild being used. Its not a long walk from the road, but its quite a hill with only a narrow dirt track. It may become very muddy after rain. There are other routes avaliable, but they are longer and you really need a map marked out with public footpaths. The cache is a specimen container, about 5cm long made of clear plastic with a white screw lid. It contains a cache log and pencil. |
