Things are kinda slow for new caches arond here right now so Red and I went out for a drive and found some neat little locations for you to go to.
We have been up and down this road a lot and finely stopped and read the signs. Interesting location and history to this spot. This was the "watering hole" for the travelers up and down the old Spiral Highway before the Lewiston Hill grade was built. This park is on private property but you have the landowners permission to stop and rest here but please respect the request of the owners when you stop here. Read the information and look at the photos on the tanks and see if there is anything you remember from other trips up and down this grade. Bring a lunch and sit back and relax and enjoy your time here. To claim this virtual cache, just read the signs on the tanks and tell me which corner your at and what they claim the elevation to be. Stroll around through the trails and take a break for the drive out. |
