Near the Lake Gordon Spillway
Lake Gordon at 120 acres is owned by the Evitts Creek Water Company and water supply to the City of Cumberland Maryland. Angler access was recently increased when non-powered boats and electric motor powered boats were added to the recreational use opportunities on both lakes. The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, Cumberland Maryland officials and local anglers, both Pennsylvania and Maryland, worked together to provide this increased angling opportunity on Koon Lake and Gordon Lake. Gordon is fed by Evitts Creek a tributary stream of the North Branch Potomac River in the U.S. states of Pennsylvania and Maryland. The views and picture opertunities abound in this area. My best friend has cought a 10 pound bass from here and I have got 4 & 5 pounders. This was also before they let the boats on it. Great views all around. |
