A 2 Stage Multi Cache Located along a section of the Oak Ridges Moraine Trail in the Seneca College King Campus - Eaton Hall.
Cache elevation: 317m

This cache was originally hidden as part of the Home on the Moraine series, but has now been transitioned to a regular cache hide.

The first stage is a brass tag attached to a trail marker signpost located at N43° 57.823' W79° 31.162' The tag contains the
coordinates for the final stage! On your way there, be sure to explore the ruins of the old structure and admire the massive fireplace.

The final cache is a camouflage taped Lock & Lock container hidden beside the trail out of sight.

You can enter the main trail from the East off of Dufferin Street (my preferred entrance) at: N43° 57.998' W79° 30.755' or the West off of Keele Street at: N43° 57.238' W79° 32.111'. You can also park inside the Seneca campus (Parking fee is required!!!) at: N43° 57.785' W79° 31.200', virtually beside the first stage! Lots of great trails to hike or bike (or ski or snowshoe) so take some time to explore... You can continue along either direction of the Oak Ridges Moraine Trail and visit the other area caches.

Eaton Hall is a château built in the Norman style for Lady Flora McCrea Eaton in 1937. She moved into Eaton Hall following the demolition of her city mansion, Ardwold. Upon completion, it contained 72 rooms and became a beloved gathering place for the Eaton Family, owners of the Eaton's department stores based in Toronto.

Many movies and television programs have been filmed at Eaton Hall, including the final scene of the award winning film A History of Violence.

The Oak Ridges Moraine extends 160 kilometres from the Niagara Escarpment in the west to the Trent River system in the east, and is on average 13 kilometres wide. One-hundred-and-fifty metres deep, the Moraine stands out as one of the most distinct landscapes of southern Ontario. Its height above the flat lands to the north and south, its rolling hills and river and stream valleys and large blocks of mixed forest provide solace and a sense of connection to the people who live, work and play on the Moraine, natural and wild habitat for flora and fauna, and untapped recreational opportunities.
