I recently went on a little trip with my parents from Wisconsin to Florida. Now, I'm a 43 year old man with elderly parents - this was no vacation.
Anywho, we stopped in Ashburn for breakfast. We stopped in to the local Waffle House and asked the waitress about the fun and exciting things happening in Ashburn. I was absolutely amazed by the type of festival that Ashburn holds every year. I'm from the north, but have spent considerable time in the southern states. The critter the festival honors is a real pest at my parents Florida home. Why not have a Killer Bee Festival? Perhaps a Flaming Dagger Thrown from a Moving Plane Festival? Or even a Black Widow Spider Festival? I have had a good chuckle over this topic for a week now. But I can assure you of this, I will stop back in to that Waffle House on my next trip through Ashburn. God, I love America!
