We found this cache in its Groundspeak form in January 2008 and we've intended many times to visit it again in its Opencaching form but never quite got there. Of course, we didn't need to visit the waypoints so today, with free time after some local caches and as parking is free on Sundays we waited for a gap in the muggles at the busy cache site. The cache seems to have moved slightly from when we first found it but the present spot is much better.

Having found the cache in its GC and OK forms we thought we should log it in its NC form. Three finds for the price of one.

Thanks for the cache.

A week later, and I found myself in the area again, this time after doing several caches to the north east of the town. As I was so close, and I had some time left, I called in here again. There was no reason for it to be any less busy than last week, and it wasn't, but this time I brought my sandwiches so I could sit down and occupy myself while waiting for an opportune moment. When one came, I grabbed the cache quickly - it was only an inch from where I had felt last time.

Thanks for a super cache, done the long way :-),

I understood what was needed for this cache, and came with the appropriate equipment. But I thought I would fail at the first hurdle as I couldn't get anything that matched the clue exactly, despite trying in half a dozen different spots. But at the seventh try it appeared, and I quickly jotted down the details before it disappeared again :-). I thought it would take a long time if they were all as tricky as that one, but locations 2, 3 and 4 were solved in seconds.

Then I came to location 5. No sign of the clue at all, despite circling the feature a couple of times, at different levels.

A call to the cache owner confirmed I was in the right general place, but soon after that I spotted something that strongly suggested the clue had permanently gone. However, the same thing that suggested it had gone also suggested the addition of 2 and 2 to make a pretty plausible 5, so I plumbed that into the worksheet and headed off to location 6.

Then, assuming that the guesses at nunber 5 were correct, I had a very similar problem at 6 - something has changed, and the clue isn't there any more. Time for more guesswork - this time adding 2 and 2 to get about 6 or 7!

But the string of guesses did give a very plausible answer, and I headed off there.

Sooooooooo busy. The bootlace trick allowed a brief but unsuccessful search. If it is the right place I'll have to come back at a less busy time.

Corrections to waypoint worksheet. This ensures there is only one solution to the puzzle.
