Cache is located in one of the Northeast's premier Boy Scout Camps near Childwold, NY west of Tupper Lake on Route 3. If you visit during the active summer months, you'll have to stop at the Central Office and get a visitor's pass and a map of the camp. The optimum "find" time is from noon on Saturday to noon on Sunday. The most direct route to the cache is nice & flat and should be no problem. Please be discreet around the cache if you should happen to run into Scouts on the trail so as not to give up it's location to non-cachers. If you decide to make a day of it, it is highly recommended you take the five mile White Trail hike around the lake and enjoy your surroundings as you go. White Trail terrain is mostly moderate with some elevation changes. Don't forget the bug spray!

Cache container is a .30 cal. ammo box, dark green in color with white lettering identifying it as a geocache. Cache contents include a couple of things that are Scout related plus other goodies that should appeal to just about anyone. Please feel free to bring something to trade that you think might add to the outdoor or camping "theme" of this cache. If you take something please leave something.
It also contains the usual log book to record your visit and comments. Please try and return the cache the way you found it for the enjoyment of the next cachers.

This is my second hide...good luck and have fun!

Found it while on break from the Beaver Weekend kitchen. Massawepie is a special place, having spent so much time there as a Scout, CIT, Staffer, Leader and Volunteer. Nothing beats the smell of camp to help you relax and restore. My "qi" is better now...
Only the first of ScouterMark's hides that I've found, but I'll have the rest soon. Good walk, nice spot and conceal.
