This cache is off of Winton Rd. in Tryon Park. Park along Tryon Pk. west of the 590 overpass. Be mindful of the neighborhood and keep a low profile as the neighborhood kids like to frequent the park and will watch you. Try not to compromise the location of this cache. There's a nice view from the higher ground at the start of the trail, and you can see some leftovers from past developments in the area. The city of Tryon was one of the first settlements in the area, only to be forgotten when the port of Rochester started booming economically. Cache clues are below, as you may need them because of my geriatric handheld unit's accuracy. Cache on, and trade fairly. First find get 2 free "geocaching with" decals for their car when they email me at: Tooeasyright at (decals available for others on request, $$3.00 each and $$1.00 gets donated to for website costs). There's a bunch of other stuff: Gold cross necklace, where's george dollar bill, pocket knife, patches, flag pins, and other misc stuff. DO NOT COMPROMISE THIS CACHE'S LOCATION! Cache is in a retired ammo can, painted green w/ brown cover exactly as found as lots of people visit this place. Cache in, trash out. equal opportunity employer. keep refrigerated. made in USA. use as directed.

I as out caching with Spooko13 this morning looking for some archived caches. We were in the area so I had to look for this one.

It was great coming back in here and I was also surprised and the chairs very close to GZ.

I managed to sign in without any injury and replaced the cache to keep it well hidden. I have been by here many times and never knew there was a cache here. Thanks!

Excellent! Love these old school caches! Had a nice hike this morning and soon found myself in a great location for a hide. GPS was fairly worthless here, but after a bit of wandering back and forth my geosenses zeroed in on the likely spot. Jumped for joy when I saw just a hint of the green container peeking out at me! Ammo can is a bit rusty and had a little water in it, but it opened easier than expected. Log was only damp (feared it was going to be water logged) so I signed in and replaced everything as found. Very psyched to have found this since it hasn't been visited for so many years. Funny thing is that some muggles have set up a couple of chairs and built a fire pit in the general area of the hide. Just goes to show that a well hidden cache stays put.

Thanks for the fun and for keeping this one active for all these years! This is a perfect example of why I enjoy caching so much!

Sad that so few folks use this service. Last find was over a year ago. Great hiding spot though. I removed some moldy stuff inside, but the cache is in good shape all-in-all. TFTF.

Found this with Wandering Buck and forgot to log it. Out doing some other caches in this area and P6P alerted us to this one and brought us to the cache area where we then put our geosenses to use (we didn't have the coords) to search and find. Great area - never knew it was here. TFTC.

Spent some time hiking with friend in the park, and P6P(R) suggested we go up the creek to look for this one. Not a lot of water going down the falls today, but we enjoyed our hike nonetheless. Found cache in good shape. Thanks!

Came out to look for Captain Kid's Treasure and stayed for Indian Falls. What a great place and a great cache. Signed the log, TNLN. TFTC, Play On!

Second time was a charm! Dan and son of team Rochrach out on a beautiful fall day. Found nearby Geocache -- Captain Kidd's treasure, then headed over to try to find this one again. Son helped a bit, but then decided the falls was more fun. Dad didn't want to give up. Knew the clues because he had decoded at home after the last DNF. Was a bit easier with good light this time. Never would have found it in the dark last time. Finally found after a good bit of searching. Very tough find.

Took items from cache that were not in good shape due to dampness over the years: Army sticker, knife.
Left: Devil duckie
SL -- can't believe this cache has been here so long and yet it has such a low number of finds

Glad to have brought waterproof boots so we could have fun in the falls and the stream without worry.

I was only the third person to log this in this wonderful little glen and waterfall area. There's a bonus cache listed on Geocaching site: Captain Kid's: at N 43 09.810 W 077 32.222. Get a two-for-one on it!

In the area today doing Chemist Kahuna's new cache just 160 feet away from this one (on Sad that I can't remember what I ate for supper last Friday, but I remembered exactly where this cache was that we found over 2 years ago. And guess what? Its still there! A couple of the items inside are just slightly damp, but other than that, its in fine shape. Couldn't believe that only 1 other cacher has found this besides us in this length of time. The keychain we had left there was still there, haven't seen one like it in the 2 years since, so we just had to grab it, now to keep in my caching items collection. So, cache is here, come and find it people!

Solo effort by dad of team Rochrach tonight. Came over after finding the nearby Issaquah's Book Exchange Cache. My first time in Tyron park.

Took a few wrong paths (didn't want to try to bushwack across the steep ravine!). Finally ended up at the cache location. What a great place. It was getting dark, so I searched for about 10 minutes. There is one location which looks like it may have held the cache, but it was just empty.

When I started to need my flashlight to search, I knew it was time to leave.

Decoded clue when I got home, it might confirm that I found the former cache location -- or it might not -- it's really not specific enough.

I'll definitely come back if someone confirms the cache is still there -- or the next time I come back to this park.

In any event, bringing me to this cool waterfalls was enough for me. Thanks.

Cache was well preserved (not even rusty!) and in its resting place as described. Had no trouble finding it, but had to really work to remove it. Fashioned a few tools to chip, dig, pry, and hammer. After about 30 minutes of masonry work on the shale I was able to extract the cache from its hiding place. I did a little excavating, reconstruction, and repair before replacing it. Anyone following my log should have no trouble getting the cache unless nature strikes again. TNLN.

Enjoyed my early evening walk over to the falls. I have been nearby before for HT's cache, slight difference between the two though this one is actually hidden. The darkness made for a good hunt. The frost has shifted the earth just enough to trap the cache so I was unable to sign the log book. I took a couple photos to share, none are cache spoilers but they do spoil the surprise of the beauty of the area.

Thanks for the fun.

Decided to start out early this morning, since we saw this listed last night. Nice walk, got our hearts pumping. Sats were jumping around, took a bit to locate but Bill finally spotted it at 6:43AM. Woo hoo, 1st to find! Loved the pen. Thanks for the nice hide.
