Once again I have located a cache in a small town park. I am very impressed with the layout and upkeep of this scenic town facility, which was known as Sand Point prior to becoming a Park. The west side has a playground, on the east memorial gardens. The centerpiece is a GAZEBO THAT HAS A MILLION DOLLAR VIEW, I hope you will be able to spend a few minutes to take it all in from this vantage point. Mrs. Rocky often reminds me that I need to STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES, I hope that you can take a moment to reflect on life’s blessings at this wonderful place .

This is a two-part cache, the total time to do both parts should be less than 20 minutes

The listed coordinates will take you to a monument. You will need Marian’s year of birth and passing to calculate the cache coordinates.

The cache coordinates are:

N42 49.AB4 W077 42.CD3

To solve A add 8 to the third digit in the year of her birth, for B multiply the fourth digit of her birth by 3. You now have the longitude

For C subtract 6 from the third digit of the year of her passing, for D divide the fourth digit of the year of her passing by 4.

You now have the coordinates for the cache.

The park is very busy at times and I think it will be difficult to do much searching without drawing attention to yourself. Therefore I will be very specific in the encrypted hints. You may want to decrypt them but not look until you need them.

You are looking for Tupperware like container. There are no items to trade, just a logbook to record your visit. Please be sure to push down hard on all 4 corners of the cache container to re-seal it. Try to return it to the hiding spot just as you found it.

Rocky, This has to be one of the most beautiful places on the lake. After finding this one and signing the log book, Szuchie, Chicky and I just hung out for a while taking in the scenery. Thanks for showing me this place I really enjoyed it, nice little cache hide too. -Paleoman52-

Another brilliant Rocky cache! This has to be one of the most wonderful parks I have visited all summer - made more special that I was able to share it with Chicky and P-Man (to fantastically fun folks).

When we arrived (as was typical today...haha), I just stared in amazement over the perfect green grass of the park onto Conesus Lake. Personally, this is what makes the best caches. A fun hide in a beautiful area. I'm still smiling! Haha.

So upon arriving to the first leg, Chicky made quick work of the math, and with P-Man at the helm we headed for leg 2! In short order it was found, and made our way over to that "million dollar view" - and let me tell you - it is worth every cent!

I took many pictures, but looking at them now they do no justice to how gorgeous this spot is! Thank you so much Rocky for showing me this spot, and allowing me to spend it with great friends on such a beautiful day!

I finally got to log this one....Was here a couple of times before, but it was just too busy near the cache. At one point, just as I was walking up to the cache, two guys were approaching at the same rate from another direction, and ended up sitting down within feet of the cache to fish... :(

Anyway, there was a misting rain at 8AM this morning when we hit the cache, so we had the whole point to ourselves, except for the two adult geese, and their gaggle of 15 young ones... :)
The mist made for a nice view from the gazebo...
Thanx, Rocky!

My first cache find/attempt. An absolutely beautiful evening and only 1.5 mile from my home. The ducks were very tolerant of our activities and my wife found the container after my son and I both looked right at it and missed it. Anyways, a great start to a new family-fun activity. Oh yeah, I had talked with a friend of mine about geocaching this afternoon and he went home, logged on and got to the cache 15 minutes before we did! I guess that makes two families who are hooked.

We use to live in Mumford and remember when this park wasn't here. What a nice area. We also had to stare at the ducks for a while. Took a while to find the clue - definitely need it - then a little kid came up and said what are you doing? He was followed by 3 more. We threw the box in the bush. We told him we were watching the ducks and he reprimanded us and we told him to be quiet or he would scare the ducks! Finally he went away and we retrieved the box and repositioned it where it belongs.

After a whole weekend of “honeydo’s I had to try and get in at least one cache. This one fit the bill. Never been to this park before. Found the monument and came up with the cache coords. but at the cache location there was a fisherman and his son. Had to stand around and look at the ducks waiting for them to leave.
Those ducks must be used to cachers since they didn’t seem very disturbed by us poking around in their back yard. After logging in took a few minutes to enjoy the view and watch the sun start to set. Thanks Rocky for the enjoyable hide.

Had today off to take my son to his road test this afternoon, and what better way to spend the morning than finding a cache first! Woo Hoo! Nice quiet park, not too many around when I arrived but some more coming in as I was leaving. Found cache at 10AM, hung out in area checking out the views for awhile. Note: Be careful when locating cache itself, there is a nesting duck very very nearby, didn't move while I was there so not harmful, just be careful not to disturb please. Thanks for the pleasant find on this sunny 60 degree day.
