Cache is in Ellison Park. There are a maze of trails back here. The difficulty varies with which trails you choose. Any which way, there will be some hills.

Cache is a green 50 cal ammo box. Contains log book to log your visit. Trinkets include Forrest Gump video, Cold Mountain book on tape, and some other stuff. PLEASE AVOID TRESPASSING ON PRIVATE PROPERTY! Looking at a map will be helpful in identifying borders of park.

Surprised to see this listed on navicache along with Coyote Den, as the two are so close to each other, geocaching.com would not allow one or the other!

Dan & Kat's first find together! A beautiful November day for a hike - Quite a walk with a slippery slope with lots of leaves!. Kat first spotted the clue and Dan spotted the box. Nice find & left a fridge magnet!

Nice area for a hide but heard some shooting as we approached. Thought they might be running us off but Smiley kept on going. She finally found it. Nice hiding spot. Thanks.

Whew! Took white then yellow trail. Saw no sandpit. It was raining lightly and we looked and looked and looked for about an hour - or at least it seemed that long. High humidity - we were dripping sweat!. GPS must have been taken over by a spirit - we were all over the place. Put new batteries in and finally found the cache. Beautiful woods and nice hide. Took Fancy Fish TB, Signed your log. Team Durant

9th of 9 finds today Found at 6:45 PM
Glad this was the last one of the day. I donít think I could have done anymore after this one. I took a little longer but not as steep a trail to this one, but it was still pretty steep at the end. And then came down the real steep trail coming out. Sats. were bouncing around the last 100 feet but I had shot a bearing and knew the approximate area. So it only took me a few minutes to find the cache. You sure know how to hide them Hinge. Signed log, took/left nothing and headed home after a real enjoyable day of caching.
Thanks Hinge for another challenging hide.

Found this one when having our family picnic back on the 4th. despite the tree cover, my map330 was only off by about 25ft. took a different way back which made the hike much more exciting

Found it aroun 7:25pm. Tried finding a way to get to this spot when we were in the park two other times during the past month. Couldn't quite figure it out and ran out of daylight. On our way to our usual parking area we saw a new Trailhead Parking sign and took a chance. It got us to the area we wanted to be in. Our unit read 50' from the coordinates. Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for introducing us to this area of the park.

After a report that the cache was out in the open, I checked it, and found it in the place where it was supposed to be. I took the time to get a new set of coordinates, on my newer, more accurate GPS unit (thanks yet again Quinn, I love it), and tweaked them on the cache listing.

Hinge, this was our 4th and final cache of the day. We had planned 5 but you did us in. Mrs. Rocky is never going to let me forget that she wanted to go what would of turned out to be a much better, easier, safer route. Still I liked this cache the best as it was by far the most challenging. In reading the log book most of the previous cachers seemed to comment that the coordinates were off. I think that they were right on and you gave them problems by not choosing the obivious hiding spot. Good job, still trying to convince Mrs. Rocky that this is fun.

I ran into 2 Geocachers (Quinn & Lighthouse Rocket) in the parking area - Lucky for me. The trip was an 'experience'. The trails were steep and slippery and I'm a little gimpy. We found the cache after a while. 3 GPS's giving 3 different locations. All were ~50-60 feet off, probably due to the tree cover. Same comments from previous visitors. I don't think my Garmin eTrex Venture is the best in tree cover, I could have a real problem when the leaves come out. To finish off the 'experience' we decided to find a 'better' way back than the slippery trail in. Big Mistake! We wound around the nearby gravel pit and had to backtrack along the Irondeqoit Creek bank to get out, should have taken the Topo Map along! Overall a nice experience, the cache, the extended hike, and especiall meeting up the other Geocachers. Late longin - because I logged the wrong cache site like the rookie I am.

I found this cache today with help from two other Geocachers I met at the main entrance to the park. Ryan (Lighthouserocket) and another fellow pitched in to make this a team cache adventure. I am certain I would not have found it without the help of both of them. The cache was in great condition and well placed. My coordinate readings at the cache site were a bit off but in the area I can understand why. Pretty slick area in the snow so watch your step!
I left (2) wheres george Bills for tracking purposes and took nothing but some pictures I will add with this report.
In our everyday lives people pull up to stop lights and don't think twice about the person in the car next to them. I found that Geocaching can take a perfect stranger one second and turn him/her into a friend the next second.
Thanks for all the help guys and Thank you for a fun Cache.

Hinge,
I found your cache today. Of course the trail I chose to take me in was the steepest. The second mistake I made was that I errored when entering the coordinates into my GPS. This made it more fun as I got to see more of the park. I had a difficult time zeroing in on the cache, but found it after about 20 minutes of circling. As I sat there, 2 cachers walked in on me, Lowerfalls and GG. We had a nice visit. I signed the log, took nothing, and left Groucho glasses. I had a great time.

Thanx,
Kayaker

Found this cache around 12:30 this afternoon. Nice location with some real challenging terrain. Especially if you don't take the trail. Great views from the cache location. No problem locating the cache. Took nothing & left a lanyard. Signed the log & left my mark. Thanks, HT.--Gimpy--

Great job Thunder! Nice location and a very nice hike. I've been to Ellison many times, but I never saw that part before. I believe we accidentally(on purpose)found the private property you warned about. that was interesting too.
Took Forest Gump and left a pocket knife. Ken, Mike and Jasper.
