Ashplats wood is one of the best kept woods in East Grinstead. The woodland is maintained by Ashplats Wood Conservation Group (http://ashplats.org) who often do litter picking and coppicing to keep the woodland in top condition. The woodland is also a West Sussex Site of Nature Conservation Importance within the High Wield Area of Outstanding natural beauty.

The woodland contains other geocaches which takes you all around the woods which is a lovely place to walk. So while you are not looking for the geocaches, take in the scenery in and around the beautiful woodland.
During late April/early May, the bluebells are in full bloom and add to be beauty of the woodland.

I used to use Navicache regularly, but for some time now it has been virtually moribund. Nevertheless, I visited today and spotted that 3 caches I found have been cross listed here, so for the completeness of my records I'm logging them here too. This is a copy of my log:

I've not visited Ashplat's Wood before. It was nice to transition from trim suburban gardens to really quite wild and overgrown country in the space of a few feet :-).

I enjoyed finding a clean and quite well stocked box - something of a rarity these days.

Thanks for the cache,

Rgds, Andy
