No need for the stuff below - just go straight to the lat/lon above. We'll put back the clue tickets on our next visit. Below is what it said in 2001 :-)
This location is of great historic interest and only a short walk from the geocache box itself. When you reach the spot, wait until you are not observed, then lift the ivy following the arrow to a castle. The microcache holds a slip of paper telling you where to find the box: in fact it allows you to see, from where you are standing, the seat on which you will probably choose to sit when you examine the geocache contents, fill in the log book, etc. This seat is located at a far less busy spot. The geocache is a medium sized, dark green tupperware box, with instant camera - to take a picture of yourself, small toys and lots of other low value "goodies". Please take care not to be seen replacing both caches, and make sure each is well hidden in the correct spot.

Open Log: Unrestricted Many Thanks for re-hiding the cache. I must be one of the few people who, way back in 2001, got permission from the Parks Office to plant caches in the park. The story should be on the Richmond Park cache page. Many Thanks again. Robin www.gpss.co.uk/geocache

Open Log: Personal use only My first navicache, really nice little walk to GZ and easy find. Walked on to Richmond Park cache and found first part of the cache (well hidden) then had trouble with the maths and found ourselves looking for that magic number (do you know how many ???? there are in Richmond Park. Will be back when we can turn our brains on to maths mode. TFTC

Open Log: Unrestricted Thanks Rover. That's certainly the right spot ! :-) Hope it was less visible when you left it. These days I reckon many caches can be found without using a GPS - this one maybe without google maps either :-)

Thanks ever so much for replacing this cache, in one of my favourite places. A really enjoyable day, sunny and warm enough not to need a jacket.

Open Log: Personal use only Sorry it took us a while, but today we replaced the old cache, originally planted in 2001. We saw that the original spot for the cache itself was now completely cleared of bushes, so nowhere to put it there. At the end of our trip, including visiting other caches, we found a new spot which may be even better - certainly a better view :-) There was not time to place clue tickets, so instead we've simply updated the lat/lon to take you directly to the cache itself. You should not find it at all difficult. Thanks for telling us, and happy caching ! :-)

Maybe I should have read the previous log before I came to look for this one - but I didn't.

I searched for the microcache on 1st April but couldn't find it. The ivy around the top of the Henry VIII Mound has been clipped back hard so perhaps it was thrown away by the gardener. However, this location is well worth the visit. The gardens were looking very pretty with daffodils, camellias and magnolias in flower and the views from the top of the mound are superb. Take a good pair of binoculars when you come here so that you get a good view of St. Pauls Cathedral.
