You may be able to find your way up the hill via the footpath from Henley, but we found it easier to take the A423 uphill, east out of Henley towards Maidenhead, then, less than a mile out of Henley, take the small road left towards Remenham Church. You can just about park on the verge perhaps 50 yards past the public footpath sign and stile, at the lat/lon above, from where you enter the woods, alongside someone's house. Keep to the well trodden footpaths. The cache is only a short distance from the path, and you should not need to scratch yourself on anything.

It's still there - as are two of the original clue tickets ! :-) We went prepared with drawing pins, replacement clue tickets, and the lat/lon of the waypoint inside my old etrex labelled H2. We soon found one old original clue ticket and the lat/lon matched. We then walked to the lat/lon and found that geocache spot was some 10 yards from it, but that should not be a problem when you read the words on a clue ticket. We saw that the geocache was visible, but were not too concerned because it seems unlikely that the casual walker would look for it. We did not disturb it and look inside the box. June took a photo of it. On returning to the clue ticket location we found a second original clue ticket. We then pinned two more, as high as we could consistent with needing to look up to see them. I also folded one and poked it into a spot for those who find it difficult to stoop down. They could always come armed with a mirror - two mirrors if they can't read backward writing :-)

Thanks Amberel. I remember where I put the clue ticket(s) and I normally plant more than one. Of course, if the place I planted it has been changed, instead of the very old and well worn object as these usually are, the tickets may have gone. I'll check these out in the near future.

3 Navicaches this morning, and 3 misses :-(

One almost certainly gone, one under too close surveillance to be practical today, and this one that I simply didn't find.

Get Down and Look Up! Getting Down is becoming increasingly awkward and uncomfortable for me these days. Getting down and looking up? No chance :-) I did feel around where I might have looked had I been more supple, but I had no luck with the clue tickets. And no find clue tickets = no find cache :-)

With a bad day for NaviCaches, 0 out of 3, it was fortunate that I found all 20 Groundspeak caches!

Robin and June, who planted this cache years ago, amazed to find the clue ticket(s) still there - and also the cache. June was sensible in wearing her raincoat with hood, but Robin was too busy taking a photo of a rainbow from a few yards away from the car, parked on the verge. He should have seen that the rain was coming THIS way ! Result was they found the cache but just as it started to pour with rain. Not much shelter under trees with no leaves on. June provided some shelter while Robin took a quick peek at the log book - no finders it seems. Decided not to write in it and risk getting it wet. Difficulty with this cache is that the GPS will not work accurately after you enter the woods.

Had a great time not finding this cache! Made my way up from Henley-on-Thames via footpaths through the woods. Located several suspect hiding places, but no cache. :-( Very much enjoyed the hunt though. Walked back down the road for some time before cutting across a field back to town.

I was visiting from the States and a coworker located this cache site for me knowing I wanted to do some geocaching while in the UK.
